Our in home network had really slowed down over the last year or so. Realizing that there had been several new wifi devices added to it, seemed like it was probably time to look into a hardware upgrade to support all the devices (we're up to 12 now - from smart TV's, smart phones, I Pads, an I Mac). The Best Buy sales associate recommended this device as the best to fill our needs and he was right. Very happy again with our wifi network.

Works well! We have this on the top level of the house and it reaches the basement just fine.

I own another Netgear model that I've had about 4 years, and it has worked flawlessly. So I recommended this router to a friend who needed it for work from home during this current Covid-19 pandemic. This router was a big disappointment as it would lose the connection maybe 4 or so times per day knocking her off her work computer. I made numerous calls to Netgear technical support and they had me verify that this problem was happening every time somethjng of the internet was doing something that registered in the log as a disruption of service attack. Every time one of these happened it would cause the router to lose connection with the modem, and also made the router unavailable for devices to connect to via Wi-Fi for several minutes. It also made internet unavailable for wired devices like the work computer. These so called "DoS attacks" occured 3 or 4 times per day but should not have caused the router to shut down as it wasn't a true attack where the router was getting bombarded by disruption attempted. It was just one or two attempts at scanning this router that caused it to completely shut down. The Netgear tech support was unable to resolve this problem after numerous calls. So after 3 weeks of fighting this problem we returned it for a refund and began renting a router directly from the internet provider. Since using the providers router the signal to all devices has been flawless with no disruptions of internet service. These "DoS" attacks haven't been a problem for the rented router. It was just a problem for this Netgear router. This modem worked great when it would work, it had a strong signal around the house. But it was not worth keeping when we couldn't rely on it keeping us connected.

Had to get faster router to keep up with cable company upgrades. Netgear40 did the job !

This router more than meets my needs. After researching best one for the amount I wanted to spend.

Love this router so much, I've purchased it twice! I bought the older generation about 7 years ago and left it in my old house when I sold it. It gave me an excuse to purchase the updated one. Never had issues connecting my devices with this router. My household uses about 10-15 devices between cell phones, Smart TVs, gaming consoles and PCs.

Got this router to get a better signal throughout the house and it does the job very well.

Upgraded to this router and I must say I am impressed with the range and quality of this router.

This router sped up my connection so much I never worry about getting HD on Netflix or Amazon Prime or VUDU. Just installed this router in place of the Netgear N600 I was using. My smart Blue Ray player is on 802.11/N. Then, I turned on the automatic QOS (i.e. quality of service) settings and my network is on fire. It was a bit high priced but I should be set for years to come.

Router works excellent for wifi and networking. Is somewhat complicated when trying to get cameras to work on the web.
