    We bought this router, along with a range extender shortly after signing up for FiOS internet. The router that Frontier provided was garbage; the wifi signal was really week throughout our house. With the AC1900 we were able to run all of our equipment on the wifi with no problems. It provides a strong consistent signal, made even better with a matching extender.

    Like other reviews, I am having an issue with the router dropping the internet connection. I've had it for a month now and I have had to turn it off and then back on to get it connected again. Some online reviews mentioned it is a firmware issue...but I don't want to roll back to some previous version. If it wasn't for this one issue this router would certainly get 5 stars.

    Not being tech inclined AT ALL, I was very fearful of choosing the best equipment for my internet needs. My internet provider recommended NETGEAR and it has proved to be absolutely wonderful! I had a scant prior knowledge of Linksys so I compared the two and found NETGEAR to be the far better of the two. It was pricey, but I did get a somewhat lower sale price which I appreciated since I am on a fixed income.
