I have a lot of devices that use wi-fi. I brought a cheaper model with less broadband and capabilities for what I need. Travis recommended a slightly higher one but with 1extreme gamer 1 amateur online gamer. 2 laptops and 4 cell phones. I thank BestBuys Travis for helping me out with this purchase

We have a 4100 sq. ft. home, and have a business where my wife runs the admin side from our home office. We have VoIP (sort of like a PBX system), with 2 of the phones in the home office, 2 computers, as well as 2 iPhones and at night, stream movies on TV. I was told by the Geek Squad that this router is what we need (I was most concerned with the VoIP phones). Unfortunately, this isn't the best router for VoIP phones. We had to download an older firmware version to avoid getting ghost calls but that caused our system to run slower. Not knowing this, we had our ISP techs out to see what was wrong. We had great speed going through the modem but everything slowed down when adding the router back in. I now have to get a switch to directly connect my VoIP phones to bypass the router so I can update the Nighthawk. I have been told that the Netgear router that is a fraction of the cost of the Nighthawk, is much better.

This router was so easy to connect a novice could do it.

This router is fantastic the set up is a little more involved then i was use to but well worth it. no more fighting with syncing to the modem if the power goes out, no more sketchy wifi spots in the house. love that you can make certian devices priority and see what devices are connected which can be limited.

Works great from day one with a good stong signals.

This device provides me with much better access to Netflix on my smart tv that is several rooms away. The wireless router that was included in my cableone box would not even pick it up. I was using an older Linksys router and it worked but there was delays at times. I also was having issues with a wireless printer being "offline" that this device has corrected.

We bought these two items recommended by a friend who had a similar issue with slow, often failures to download movies. This combination has made all the difference. Movies download seamlessly despite being in a mountain area with poor service and reception.

Works better than the equipment provided by comcast.

I bought this based on a recommendation by the Best Buy worker. It seems to work well with two gaming systems at the same time. The network can be reached in farther areas of the house compared to previous routers.

Worth the upgrade if you are still on n or worse a b/g

This the third updated model of these routers we have purchased. My only concern is that they are very sensitive to electrical surges. We have a whole house surge suppressor and the router is plugged into a multi-port surge suppressor, but they only seem to last 2 to 2 1/2 years and then have to be replaced.

Best router I've ever owned. easy to set up. Easy to use.

I needed an upgrade from my old Netgear router. I have numerous Roku's, tablets and computers in use at my home. This router is working very well with all of them. I just did a firmware update for the router without any difficulties.

Great router if you have multiple devices. We usually have 6 devices at one time sharing the wifi with no problems. I upgraded from a 10 year old Linksys router, so it is night day. Set-up was a breeze but I haven't tried custom settings yet.

Probably as good as a router you can get currently with current technology. I would recommend placing in a central location in your living space and not in a basement or corner of a larger home. Only issue for me is mine is setup downstairs (not centrally located) and I get weaker signals upstairs during peak streaming or gaming times. Overall good product.
