Quick set up - fast connection throughout the house. Covers 1500 SQ FT like a champ for a house that uses only streaming services and gaming (12-20 devices at any given time).

Router seems to hold on pretty well with the number of devices I have on my system. I have at least 20 in my small home and haven't had issue with my devices being dropped.

    Requires reset every few days

I've owned this router for one month. Install was simple. I used the nighthawk app. Router stops working every few days. I know this is the router because I can plug directly into my modem and have internet. Every time the router has stopped working, I power off for five minutes. When I power back on my connections are restored. My old router required a reset like this maybe three times in five years. The armor notifications are a bit annoying. I can't find an option to disable the text notifications when something dangerous is blocked. Also, I can't disable the armor trial.

I first bought this router for my house and then for my business and it works great! I used to have Wi-Fi extenders in both locations and now I don’t need them anymore. I would highly recommend this unit.

This router works like a charm. I have had it for more than a year now and have had no problem with it. I had to reset it only time the entire time I have had it because we couldn't get wireless signal in the house.

Purchased the Nighthawk 1900 when we had new internet service installed. This unit was recommended by the instal tech. Glad we listened. Works great for our 5 wireless devices. We are pleased with our purchase.

We replaced our older router with this new one and it is very strong and will let us operate anywhere in our 2 story house and in our yard which is quite large. We have not had any problems and it has worked well for our needs.

device initially worked well, then spent all day with installation support a few days after installing router--2 different support agents unable to make it work, tried to blame other network components that worked fine, and finally told me to return it to seller

Solid router. It does have issues when too many devices are connected (over a dozen and I get network issues). If you have a large family or lots of smart devices get something more robust.

My boyfriend actually researched and picked the router and modem but I have to say it makes a huge difference compared to the one I've had in the past, which had slow speeds and I had to constantly restart. Would definitely buy again!

If you have an older router, this little buddy is what you need. It provides an upgrade to your wireless, I have seen my wifi go from 64mb a sec to 250mb, such a huge change. Granted I have high level service but now I'm getting full access now.

Works well once set up. But set up instructions were poor. Geek squad couldn’t help. But Netgear phone service was excellent. Don’t forget to reboot all your devices after setup. Then all will be well!

The router works good but the range is weak. Install requires an account and app to get going overall 7/10. When the internet goes down the router needs to be reset to get the wifi back.

It pays to get advice. A few weeks prior to buying this router, we talked to a Geek Squad team member about recommendations and he said this router would work well for us and was a good value for the money. He was right!

Netgear router was easy to set up and has worked continuously since installed. It works over long distances, even into my garage where I have a web cam. I would recommend this router for anyone that needs a new dependable wireless.

Netgear Nighthawk Works, But Setup Is A Nightmare

This router seems to work OK. The installation was a mess. No instructions are included with the unit, only a card telling you to download an app to your phone. I did this and followed the instructions. Everything worked fine until it gave me the opportunity to change the name of my network. It was suggested that changing the name to the name and password of my existing network would make it easier to complete the installation. Unfortunately, when I did this, my phone could no longer communicate with the router and the app locked up. I went to the Netgear website with a hotspot and was finally able to get the router working. The security systems of my old router and my new router were different, and by using the old name, this cause big problems in getting this system to work. It would have been MUCH easier to simply use the factory network name or create a new one! In fact, I STILL can't print from my laptop via the router, I have to use a USB cable. I CAN print from my desktop. What really makes me angry is that, even though I've uninstalled the Netgear app from my phone, it still put a bunch of garbage on it that I haven't been able to remove. Because of the lousy setup instructions for this unit, and the crap it put on my phone, I can't recommend it.
