Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Nighthawk R7000 AC1900 WiFi Router's impressive range, ease of use, and performance. Many appreciate its strong signal and the generally simple setup process, leading to positive experiences with streaming and overall WiFi quality. I was having much trouble with internet reliability. Comcast suggested a more powerful router. This one is fabulous. All the computers and other WiFi devices in the house plus the ones in the guest house run reliably with this router.

Great router for home with just two floors

This is a great router if you only have 2 floors in your home. We have 3 and needed to upgrade to a different system. If your house is smaller, it is definitely a great product.

Our Internet seems to work better in our home with this router but we still have dropouts. Perhaps it's not the fault of the router though. I also got a new modem but it still happens.

    Very Good Router

Router is overall a good purchase. We did have to get a booster for a part of the house that is beyond the router's reach. Wished we didn't have to add that purchase, but overall good coverage.

We upgraded our router from one we had purchased about 10 years ago and we have been happy with our purchase. I am able to get better signals and it doesn't go out all the time like my old one did.

It's just like any other router just costs more. I thought it would be better that's what the salesman told my son. But you get what you pay for I guess. Very pricey though for no more help with our wifi. We do have a two story house.

Bought this unit in an effort to not buy equipment from my internet provider. So far so good. Was a little difficult to install but I got it up and running.

Have had for almost 3 years and still meets our high demand WiFi needs; have recently added a gaming computer to the mix with many other devices and still pumps out full power for all our machines; great buy and reliable

Died After Only A Few Days In Service

This router had good promise, but failed in its ability to deliver. I bought this model router to replace an AC1750 R6700 that abruptly died during a firmware update after barely two years of service (no, it did not loose power during the update, it just refused to finish). Since we have added maybe a dozen smart home devices to our household over the past couple of years, I thought an upgrade was in order. After getting this one successfully installed and configured - using what must be the worst mobile app ever conceived for this purpose - all seemed to be okay until it abruptly lost all desire to operate as it should less than a week later. The power light turned a solid amber (as opposed to a normal solid white) and even though it recognized the devices attached to it, according to the panel lights, it refused to perform any of its intended duties. I was able to revive it by resetting to its factory settings (twice) and re-configuring it, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it forgets itself and dies again. Fortunately, I have the old TP-Link router that originally anchored my home network and can quickly put it in service if this one dies again before the replacement TP-Link AX1800 arrives.

Our condo is very large and spread out. The router provided by our provided barely extended our WiFi signal to 1/3 of our unit. The Netgear Nighthawk extended the range to more than double the previous signal.

Nighthawk R7000 is great with a stable firmware. The past few updates are terrible, causing the router so many problems. The most stable firmware for this router that I tested and still used is 1.0.9.42

I upgraded to this bad boy from my old Netgear. It was on sale and almost the same price as the AC1750. So decided to get the top of the line. The router is very wide but thin and fits almost anywhere. I love it.

I bought this for a friend who was sick of his old N900 router dropping signal. This thing covers the whole 3800 sq ft single story with no issues at all. Good management and decent security features as well.

The router does what I bought it for, to increase speed. However had trouble setting it up and Netgear tech was a HUGE joke. Was on phone for almost three hours with two different people who I couldn’t begin to understand. Along with that problem was very LOUD background noise during the entire conversation. Finally I just told them I’d call them back. Just hope this doesn’t happen to you, not a very good experience.
