Value and Innovation Comes with Hassles
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My five year old 3700 vintage netgear router went south, and needed to be replaced. Since I was running a Netgear NAS, it seemed like an updated Netgear router was the way to go. However, the new router exhibited the same problems as the old router. Ah, obviously not a router problem, so I wasted the next 36 hours trying to diagnose the problem elsewhere. I contacted Netgear Support, the Community Forum, etc. to no avail. Finally, I replaced the Netgear router with a Linksys router. Problem went away. I have had similar problems with other Netgear products. Yes, the Netgear model has nice lights on the front, and more apparent features in the software. But, the Linksys router worked without the hassles.

Couldn't connect several pieces

Unfortunately I could not connect my printer, 1 laptop & 1 tablet. So I returned it after 3 days of fighting it for a Linksys Velop 2 pack router & have since been very happy.

Terrible

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this router to enhance our WiFi and give us faster connection and download speeds as it claims to do since we are a family of gamers. It hasn’t worked right since day one. It took over 4 hours to have it even be detected by the netgear app and be able to finish set up. It constantly drops off and says it’s not connected to the network or internet. Our WiFi will randomly shut off and not be accessible for hours on end. Terrible purchase I will not be buying anything like it again.
