    It’s good when it works. I’ve been having issues saying the password is incorrect even though I’ve been connected to it before with the same password I keep on typing in.

    Good device but doesn't last long

    Product worked great at the beginning but after after a year and a half it stopped working and no matter what, we can get it back to work.

    Constantly needs to be rebooted

    Not happy 8 months of use and it needs to be restarted every day to be able to continue internet access. It has been good up until the beginning of May and I was hopping Netgear would help in fixing the constant needing to be rebooted issue but support isn’t available without purchasing it. I was pleased with it and had it continued to work as it did before May I would rate higher. To late to return it and can’t use it so 170$ waist. Take a bit of advice and look elsewhere.

    not as good as i was told

    Very easy to set up, Great technical support from Netgear. Has parental controls with white/black list. Now I can block Facebook! LOL Not as powerful as I thought it would be. I run 2 smartphones, two desktops, 3 tablets, a tv, and 3 laptops.

    This’s the third Netgear router that I buy and this, again, I have to restart the router and modem because a red light come up and nothing works anymore!

    It’s okay. Just don’t like to see routers out in the open leave it in the closet and it over heats every few months need to unplug and cool off.

    When we got this earlier in the year, it had constant hiccups for a while but then seemed to resolve itself. Now over the last month and a half or so, it drops connection more and more frequently. Have seen a lot of complaints about the same issue, and read a lot of complaints of Netgear's lack of response in addressing the issue. We're currently hunting for a new Wi-Fi router from another brand.

    A good alternative if your main router is not good

    A major improvement over our previous router. Doubled our network speed, but still doesn’t hit what we pay for. Maybe that’s the cause of the ISP.

    I bought and installed this worked decent on the first day install was pretty simple woke up the next no internet went through all the trouble shooting with both the internet provider then Netgear ultimately ended up returning it as it was a bad unit and customer service was just terrible with Netgear. Ended up doing an even trade for an ASUS router which I highly recommend as the setup was easy and have had zero issues.

    Pass on this one. I’ve been a long time Netgear customer but they lost me after my experience with this router. I lost connection 6-8 times a day and spent nearly two months troubleshooting with no success. I finally did my own research and found that this is a known issues but Netgear has done nothing to resolve it. I returned this and got another router, I haven’t lost connection since.

    Not strong enough to reach in garage

    We bought this router in hopes it would work for our security system we bought, but it doesn't work in our garage. It works fine for inside the house, but were told it should work well in our garage as well.

    Powers itself off constantly

    I do a lot of gaming online and this router worked fine for a while. Anymore, I will be on my computer and lose connection to find out the router ha a tendency to power itself off for no apparent reason. I've uploaded new firmware to the device and tried multiple different settings and the issue persists. I think there is some potential power supply defect for these models. I have seen on Netgear forums that other users have the same issue.

    WiFi Dies a Few Times a Day

    I had this router for over 4 years. It was okay until the last few firmware updates. It would occasionally drop WiFi connections, seemingly when another device moved in the line of sight of another device. But the reliability after the last few firmware versions has been awful. The WiFi just dies and the router has to be recycled 1-3 times a day. This is unacceptable, especially when working from home. I bought the new Nest mesh WiFi and it has been solid so far.

    Experienced declining performance too soon

    Purchased 08/2019, died 11/2020. It started out great, but went down hill consistently over the 15 months we had it. Within the last 4 months I couldn't get more than 20 Mbps out of it, and it would overhead and restart itself if I tried to download anything over 5 GB (which I do regularly due to the nature of my work). The factory warranty conveniently ends after 12 months, so no help there. For the price, I expect the product to perform better for longer. Would not recommend.

    Great,simple,set up

    Simple set up ,WiFi work great.The only problem is that when you plugged into Ethernet ports they ran with problems and where slow on speed . Need to fix product problems other wise ran great for WiFi only.

    Within the first year of my purchase one of the antenas came out loose and the guy a Best Buy forgot to add the protection plan so now I have a router that barely works Very disappointed

    I went into the store looking for a new router and was told this one was compatible with my type of connection which it was not. Had it been, I'm sure this product would have lived up to its reputation.

    This is a good router BUT it does randomly need to be reset here and there cause it stops working. I wouldn’t buy it again just cause of that problem.

    Be prepared to reset 6-12 times per day

    Hands down, this is the most unreliable router I've ever had. After 3 months of not having a single interruption, I can't go 2 hours without having to restart the router. Wired connections are perfect but the wireless is absolute garbage. The solution on their website is to downgrade the firmware to a firmware that was from months ago and less secure. I really wish that I could return this piece of garbage 90 days later and regret not getting the extended warranty.
