Router is good.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked well for a while. There was always an issue with the WiFi constantly going up and down. Netgear support was useless. They don't care.

Not Great, Not Bad
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this router for 6 months, had to reset it a lot to ge the maximum internet speed ans reach, ethernet ports worked great, wireless signal was trash, upgraded to a netgear wifi 6 router that works 8 times better with signal boost and device capacity. This Router is worth maybe $80 not $180, waste of your money unless you get a deal.

If you enjoy daily router reset this one is for u
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my 2nd one. The 1st one I returned after 1 day. Couldn't get it to connect to the internet. This one connected to the internet as expected but daily different devices would't connect. I would have to power off and back on. I reset up the the router 3 times over the next 3 weeks and problem continues. Extremely disappointed. Avoid this one.

Poor choice
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Issues of internet dropping off 3 to 4 times a day. Having to reset it every time. Called Netgear multiple times spending hours testing and rebooting. They blamed it on cable provider. Paid to have Technician check out our cable. No issues found. Pulled out 5 year old Linksys wireless router from storage. Hooked it up and have had issues for weeks. Spent to much time on Netgear issue I threw it out. Netgear will talk your ear off and best buy won’t refund the cash. Would not buy Netgear again.

Netgear knows it's bad
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing loves to just shutdown and reset every hour or so. Netgear knows this and created the problem with the recent firmware upgrades. Try doing a zoom call when it keeps shutting down. It is faster than the old router I was using, but a sports car with a flat tire is not faster than a small car perfectly running.

Throughput degraded after one month
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this AC1900 router in an exchange for as AC2300 router that I purchased. The AC 2300 had a hardware failure after one day in use. The AC1900 worked fine after installed for the first week or so handing the 200mb download from the Spectrum modem. However, I notice fuzzy display on my Roku video after a few weeks. Checking the download at a router Ethernet port I was getting 10mb while directly connected to the modem I was getting over 200mb. Checked online at the Netgear site and elsewhere and found this issue has come up a number of times. I did all the recommended fixed including disabling QOS and monitoring, reset the router to factory settings and installed the latest firmware. However the problem of only 10mb persisted. This is when I pulled it out and exchanged it for a router from another vendor. Now I am getting the 200mb speed through the router. Needless to say I am disappointed in Netgear. I installed and are still using the AC1900 at my church and have not had any throughput issues. Netgear must have changed some hardware component in later releases of the product. Hopefully they will resolve this issue so my next purchase will be a Netgear product again.

No thanks.
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lasted for 13 months before it would drop wifi numerous times a day. Had the latest firmware, restarts, etc. Be careful with the added security it sells as well as they will automatically charge your card. This is very difficult to cancel as well. It connected very easy to my Alexa and Roku but I could never get it to connect to my Google Home.
