Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Nighthawk R7000 AC1900 WiFi Router's impressive range, ease of use, and performance. Many appreciate its strong signal and the generally simple setup process, leading to positive experiences with streaming and overall WiFi quality. However, some users reported occasional connection issues and noted the router's relatively large size. While some experienced improvements in lag, others mentioned problems with the firmware.

It requires a daily reset, sometimes two. This is very annoying if you’re in a conference call. My wife and I both work from home. This router is pretty much worthless for something you need to be dependable. My wife’s work offers 5G Verizon routers for their employees. So we use it mostly. This router has a total of 26 devices connected to it, so it should work. I guess it’s just low quality. I would’ve returned it, but I missed the return window.

Worked well for about a year but their firmware upgrades over time have resulted in sporadic connectivity issues. The only solution I have found is to revert to a much older firmware version.

I was told by Netgear that the router got corrupted on update and to return to Best Buy. Best Buy said I only had 15 days to return. It was at 28 days. A manager thankfully handled and got me a replacement. Now I’m afraid to do the update. NETGEAR routers are a pain to setup.

It is easy to setup the router for the first time. The router was working great for a week. After that the modem stopped recognizing the router and is still not working after 2 month of purchase.

Needs to be restarted often. Had an Apple Airport Extreme that worked flawlessly before I purchased this. I think I will go back to that. Also need to mention that the problems occurred after the extended service plan I purchased expired!

No instructions. You have to contact them to install. Their phone number is not in the box. You have to search the internet. Even with Best Buy’s 2 year extended warranty. Any questions after 90 days you have to buy their plan. Other routers you buy you get a year free.

    Constant drops

We had a Netgear AC1750 but had to exchange that a few times because the network frequencies would completely die out on us. So we decided to try the AC1900 out since it's the tier above the AC1750. Almost a few hours after setup, we had a sudden drop of connection, but only lasted about 20 seconds. We thought it was just a new setup hiccup, so we did a power cycle but that didn't work. I have family members who rely on the internet to work from home, and this router would drop connections in the morning and later during the evening. Has to return this 3 days after purchase because the drops wouldn't stop. We Purchased and eero instead and so far that hasn't given us problems.

I installed this router as and extended wifi router. It continually has to be reset. When it works it’s great. It will run for about a week, and then it stops working. So I reset it and good to go.

I bought this product to extend the wireless connection from my living room to my bedroom and home office. The product failed to take care of the problem so I had to move the router to the hallway to make the connections. .Complete waste of money and had to pay somebody to run the cabling for me.
