    Have had constant problem with this router since we bought it. Constantly dropping the signal or freezing up. Less than a year old and it will no longer transmit Wi-Fi at all. Attempted getting help from Netgear at beginning, and it takes hours for them to respond to the chat, and eventually do nothing to actually fix the situation. This is the last Netgear product I will buy.

    Bought the first device and it wouldn’t stay connected. Exchanged it for a new one same problem. The cable company came out and everything was fine on their end. Returned the second device and I’m shopping some where else

    Avoid, even warranty replacements don’t work.

    Hours on the internet researching how to fix, hours on the phone with Netgear support (a paid service), and a replacement from Netgear ($30 shipping fee) have not resolved the issues with this router. If you are looking for a router that provides reliable coverage (doesn’t drop every 15 minutes and need to be power cycled) then buy something else. If even the replacement doesn’t work, it’s just a bad router.

    I have had this router for about 9 months. Every few days (or more often) it stops working and requires power down and power back up. Very disappointing product.

    I'd give this a zero if I could! This is the worst purchase ever. Do not buy! I wouldn't even suggest a Netgear product after the experience we've had with this router and customer service. The signal strength on this router is horrible and the customer service is even worse. We ended up taking a loss on this product since we can't return it. We had to buy a better router from our internet service provider.

    I purchased this because of the in-store recommendation. Unfortunately, the connection was inconsistent. Perhaps it is because it is set up in my office upstairs and I am using my laptop downstairs, but I have used other units that did not have this problem.

    Do not buy this. I got this router because it seemed more upscale, and netgear is a "respectable" company. It has been randomly disconnecting my entire home since day one: can't turn on any lights (all smart lights), use Internet, or do anything during a failure. It fails 5+ times a day, for 5min each. I called netgear support more than 6 times already. Each of them I spent 1h going through the most basic troubleshooting before they tell me "give it a few more days", and never actually replace or refund me. This is the worst tech purchase I've ever made. My previous 15 dollar router was better than this one.

    The router turns off internet access to all devices daily. Have to reboot router to regain access. Contact NetGear and that was a waste off time. The person spoke with a heavy a accent that I could not understand. Contact Best Buy and they were no help to the problem. I am just stuck with a piece of junk and recommending do not buy.

    Bought this in April of this year. It was impossible to get working, and only succeeded after hours on the phone with their tech. Worked fine for four months, then, out of nowhere, stopped functioning. Unfortunately, it only had a 90 day warranty, and I couldn't even BUY a warranty coverage after 90 days (I was at 120 days). Nice customer service, Netgear!! Could not get service from, or ANY form of satisfaction from, Netgear. Will never buy one of their products again. VERY poor customer service!!
