    Died after 5 months in middle of a work day!

    Worked fine for 5 months and then just died on us in the middle of the afternoon as my wife and I were both working from home. Tried unplugging it, rebooting etc, nothing but a red light. Had to purchase a new one the same day to get back online ASAP. Want our money back.

    Not the right product for MAC users

    I bought this item with the recommendation from my internet provider, but I more of a MAC user. I had a hard time setting up this router. I returned it and bought a AirPort Extreme and was really easy to set up.

    We were sold a returned item that had been improperly repackaged and missing instructions so we ended up having to mask up and go in the store anyway

    I had to call netgear services for help. Was on the phone for 3 hours trying to configure it. Till the point she told me it was defective and had to return it.

    I did not like having to complete the installation via a smart phone. What if I did not have one? Better to do the installation via a computer. Device seems to work OK.

    Devices constantly hang. This didn't work on my smart house. I get it, I have a vast amount of devices. But the Google offering has been solid for moths

    Run..don’t walk away from this router. Kept disconnecting from internet connection. Spent overall 3 hours on the phone with techs, multiple hard boots, two total resets, and a firmware upgrade, and still couldn’t get it to hold the internet connection. Finally gave up and returned it. Thank goodness for Best Buys return policy.

    bought this thinking it would help with slow downloading with the 3 tablets and 2 computers in our house, had an older router that I thought was the issue, right now I am thinking of putting it back but of course it is to late to return this to best buy. I contacted the help line from netgear only to be told the first time that if I wanted to send them 250$ then they could help me, the 2nd time we were disconnected and I never received a call back, right now I have more buffering on our IMAC than I did prior, very frustrated as the employees at best buy were not much help either, I would recommend any other brand than this.

    Do not buy

    I was having internet connection issues, I thought I would try a new router. I tried this. After only 2-3 months the router would drop all connections. Wired and wireless. It would not reconnect unless I performed a hard power reset. Customer service kept insisting that I pay for extended warranty and they wouldn’t help but this one time. Did not resolve the issue. My internet now consistently disconnects 3 times or more a day.

    Manufacturer defect made the product unusable.

    The product purchased was returned to the store because of factory defect which made it unusable. The Best Buy store personnel were very understanding and readily gave me my money back.

    HORRIBLE ROUTER! No WiFi Internet

    Like so many other people this router is junk. I purchased it about 6 months ago and the WiFi is constantly losing internet. The signal is there, but no internet. If you plug in a cable its fine, just the WiFi is out. You have to reset the whole dang thing to get it back. I have done all the Firware updates / downgrades, followed all the articles... still junk. Out the hundred whatever bucks and on to another router.

    A router really shouldn’t require much to keep running— all of my Apple AirPorts, which are priced similarly to the Nighthawk, still work. This product, however, broke completely two years into its life, though it has been sitting on the he same shelf the entire time. On top of that, on at least two occasions I’ve had to seek support from Netgear over the phone, and it is truly abysmal— every stereotype about IT phone support is true with Netgear. They are a garbage company that makes garbage products.

    I just left from best buy Chesapeake store near Taylor rd very unhappy when the sales clerk tells me that the ac1900 router mortem was return and thats not true got one on aug 16 came back in store return it got another one reciept shows a return the other do not so again im out of a item to work my internet services wow that the serrvice i got and it has a 2yr plan wow dont shop there folks some of the employees are not trained this is not over by far

    Constantly drops connection daily for no apparent reason. Returned for a Linksys. Spent $50 more on the Linksys. Worth every penny.

    worked great for first year. Now it is resting itself often. Firmware is up to date and warranty is expired so i am shopping for a new router. It wont be a netgear product.
