I bought two of these. The first one lasted nearly couple years and died not long after big storm. I thought it had been fried by a surge. I bought a replacement last year that also died two months after the short, one year warranty ran out. $160 for just over a year of use is Comcast levels of absurd price per month. I will never buy another Netgear product.

I could not get the range that it promised. It only worked in the adjacent rooms, but not throughout the house

Definitely not an easy setup. Never had a problem setting up previous routers. Still can't get this one to connect.

You get what you pay for. This is a premium router and it does not disappoint. High Speed even though we have many devices in use at the same time. I get a strong signal outside the house and no connectivity problems. If you don't need the long range performance, this may be too much router for you. However, if you are really going to push the wireless with multiple devices streaming or playing games, it is worth the price.

Worked for about two to three days and stopped disconnected on the fourth day and nothing

I bought this Router and everything was good but the Range still was not as I thought but it's ok ,, but this Device start acting crazy after 6 months and in two weeks Stop working and Best Buy dont want to take it back which is I hate their Service, so now i still have it but i dont know what do with it and then i went to Costco and bought new Router , I had No Choice !

The router worked well for about 1 year. There is now a hardware defect in the router that prevents the wifi connecting properly. I have searched netgear forums for the last two weeks and spent a lot of time resetting and rebooting this router, with no luck. It is extremely frustrating considering I thought i was buying a quality product that would last. Very disappointed.

Not very good on a hill with trees all around my house so don’t waist your money

Quit working right at the time Best Buy won’t take back. Started dropping internet.

This was the final NETGEAR product I will ever purchase. They state that they have a 1 year warranty - However, when you call tech support with a warranty issue, you must pay a service fee to have remote diagnostics done to use the warranty, I did not know that was even legal. Goodbye forever, Netgear.

The Wi-Fi would constantly cut off multiple times a day so I would have to reset it every time. I tried everything. I called Netgear and even my ISP but they could not resolve my issue. Then I bought a new router and the problem went away so it was definitely this router that was the problem.

Pinches devices to ultra low speeds when more than six are attached and doesn't let you select which. Called support and got nowhere.

Couldn’t ever get it to work right so looking for something else

I bought this in hopes that it would be easy to set up. Followed directions carefully. Spent 3 hours on the phone with Netgear trying to get help. Finally I was told it would have to be “hardwired”. Since I did not have any way to do this, I returned it and bought a Linsys that took less than 5 minutes to set up.

Went back to my 10 year old router since this signal wasn’t strong enough to reach downstairs.

Unit would shut down and needed to reboot constantly. Returned it for a NETGEAR AC1750 and it works great!!

iv'e always had problem with this product, to the poor signal that it has. Not worth the money

Purchased this $180 router in July 2017. Warranty expired Aug 2019. Sept. 2019 the router stops transmitting wifi signal. So radio failure. Did not buy extended warranty because I thought this was a good product, spent more to get something reliable and now will have to buy a new router. This router should work longer than 2 years.

Bought this at the direction of the Best Buy staff. Easy to setup but slower than the linksys I've had for 5 yrs

There’s much better routers on the market. This one is fairly decent gets the job done...
