Full advantage of ISP , Excellent router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent router. Signal strength is ridiculously excellent, it blasts through all my walls and the area where I got the lowest signal is now the same as if I connect the computer directly to the modem, I got full 25/25 mbps speeds after doing a speed test, before it was alternating a sad 1mbps-13 mbps and was not stable. I purchased an extender and it did improve the signal but the speeds weren't where I was satisfied so I thought I give this a try thinking that you get what you paid for and I was right, $200 router, full max speed, $120 extender only half speed. I didn't even need to mess with any advance settings like changing the channels or frequency, so easy to setup up, plug it into the router, connect to the factory network name and default password, 2 clicks , done! Also, you can connect a hard drive to this router to make it a network drive using either usb 2.0 or a faster usb 3.0 connection; havn't messed with that yet but a great feature for the future. Happy camper, I'm returning the extender. Buy this! I was so frustrated and was about to go to the extremes of buying Netgear's $300 router but this one did the job and saved me $100.

Like a supermodel. Pretty, but dumb as a rock
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Came highly reviewed. Was a mistake. Setup was painful and unable to be completed due to firmware glitches preventing disabling wps or static ip addresses. The login to wifi required reentering passwords every time reconnected and was slow as molasses in January. But hey. It looks great.

Stopped working very soon after set up (just outside of the warranty period of course). Do yourself a favor and just order a high quality router from Amazon.

Mr. Dissatisfied
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sent this item back to the manufacture for repair. After I got it back it only worked for two months and stopped working again! This the second brand of a WiFi Router that I have purchased at Best Buy. I will not buy another from Best Buy

Doesn't even last a year
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolute garbage. Device stopped working within a year and NetGear won't do anything about it unless you pay for additional support. Same issues are happening to my Father-in-law, who bought the same router based on my recommendation. Do not recommend.

Very reliable router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a decent, fairly expensive Buffalo router, but I kept having reliability issues where I had to reset it ever couple of days, I'm guessing it just couldn't handle the load anymore. So I upgraded. For the price, this router has a ton of consumer friendly features, I'm not using of them (like NAS or iTunes server support), so I can't comment. I just have a basic wireless network, or two to be specific from this router. It's faster, range is a little better, but for me, the biggest thing is that after few days of use, it's been perfectly stable with anything I was throwing at it. I also like how quickly devices connect to it, after I enter the password and hit enter, it takes a second to connect and I'm online (I was used to it taking 15-20 seconds before). It says it has some king of XBox One prioritization, idk for sure, Xbox works beautifully, but I feel good knowing it's there. The device itself is huge, it definitely looks powerful. Netgear Genie software looks nice, but I'm just sticking to the web interface. There was an update with a very long list of improvements, it updates with no complications. It was between this one and ASUS Dark Night for me, honestly, I had some issues with Netgear in the past, and wanted to try ASUS, but my store didn't have them in stock so I went with this one and I'm glad I did. It just works, strong, reliable and flexible. I'm expecting it to last me few years.

NOT WORTH IT
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely awful router DO NOT PURCHASE THIS! Constantly lose service and have to call customer service once a month to reset the device and it happens all over again. No long term solution and I paid over $200 for this. Waste of money.
