Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Nighthawk R7000 AC1900 WiFi Router's impressive range, ease of use, and performance. Many appreciate its strong signal and the generally simple setup process, leading to positive experiences with streaming and overall WiFi quality. However, some users reported occasional connection issues and noted the router's relatively large size. While some experienced improvements in lag, others mentioned problems with the firmware.

    Worst router ever

I purchased this router a little under a month ago and it is the absolute worst purchase I have ever made. It will randomly kick my family off of their devices and we will constantly have to reset the router to get to work. It is a complete waste of money.

Bought this again (have the same model at my mother’s house 2 years old) for my home. It crashes constantly and reboots. It just can’t handle a family of four who are all on a device or likely two at a time plus the stuff running that is always connected.

Biggest piece of junk. Worked for 6 months then started dropping internet. After a year it quit working. Don’t waist your money. Netgear does not respond, being out of warranty. Previous router from Linksys lasted five years.

Constant ddos attacks which this router is prone to. Would just randomly stop connections to all devices. Would need to be rebooted almost daily. Bought a new router (not netgear) and the connections in my house have never been better.

The router failed working after 5 days. One connected device would have access to the Internet the second device would recieve an error message that stated the router was not connected to the Internet. Tryed support but it was not effective. returned to Best Buy full refund no hassle. Best Buy gets 5 stars

It broke after over 5 months. when I called the NetGear Support, They asked to buy their support subscription for $50 in order to check my router issue which I bought 4 months ago. I barely give bad review but this is totally unacceptable

    Terrible router

Router works in small capacities but it's not able to handle very well between multiple devices. We had two Xboxs going at the same time and sometimes would kick the other person off. This also happened to someone else I know. I would recommend going with something different, it is not worth the headache.

Possibly the best router ever made

    Posted .

I rarely take the time to write a review on anything I buy or own, however, this router's sheer excellence has pushed me to write my opinion and experience with it. This router will handle whatever you throw at it with insane speed and reliability, all by providing very impressive range for N clients (about double the distance) and quite literally multiple times the throughput of my Apple Extreme 6th Gen. **Apple Extreme @120 ft. distance - 14Mbps ***Netgear Nighthawk @120 ft. distance - 75Mbps. I attached a USB 3.0 HDD to it and NAS functionality flies, resulting in 20% faster file transfer rates over Ethernet than plugged into USB3 equipped desktop. Netgear has done a brilliant job with their first AC router, an absolute must buy if you're in the market for a future-proofed high end router.
