Huge Wireless Range
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok, i have been trough 3 routers so far since i moved into my new condo in a newly remodeled old building with a 12" concrete walls, flors and ceilling plus all the steel beams that try to stop challenge every wireless signal. The first router was my old netgear wndr3700, had it for two years without a single problem and a great range in my old house but it could not reach the second bedroom in my new place, then i switched to a Linksys EA6400 for improved range and speed based on internet reviews, the network speed was great on the 5MHz band but on the 2.4MHz it had constant disconections and the range did not improved vs the 3700 i was still unable to reach my 2nd bedroom. I tried wifi repeaters (suck) and a powerline adapter (good speeds but needed an AP to become wireless). After much research i came down to three options, the Linksys WRT1900Ac the Asus RT-AC68U and the wonderful Netgear R7000. I decided to try the R7000 and i am impressed with its range, at the spots that i was not able to connect before i am getting a very strong signal now on both bands. if you are looking for a router with a great range, trust me this is the way to go.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The range is short but I don't know if it's because it's not activated correctly, the activation says it was finish but it's VERY DIFFICULT.

Fast and wide range
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the Asus ac66 router which was a good router but the range even after upping the power level near max would not cover the same range as my old dual band N. This night hawk router out of the box easily beats the range of both routers and speed and connection have been great. Ran speed test from about 10 feet away and 10 mbps per second faster connection on the wireless ac band with settings at default. I used to had device connection issue's ( to many device's on 2.4). It is worth the price if you have a 1200 sqft home or larger or multiple floors. Even at 44 feet speed is better than asus at 10 feet.

Poor support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The router itself has good range, but still does not cover my entire 3 bedroom apartment. The apartment is on one floor and approximately 1800 sq feet. Tech support is HORRIBLE. I have contacted them 10 times for help and each time had a MINIMUM of a one hour wait. When I finally was connected, I spoke with individuals who barely spoke English, and had very little, if any, knowledge about the product. In addition, they constantly tried to make me purchase an extended warrantee for $100 in order 'fix' my issues even though my router was purchased only two weeks ago! NETGEAR...YOU'D BETTER START HIRING PEOPLE WHO SPEAK ENGLISH, TRAIN THEM ON YOUR PRODUCTS, AND EMPLOY MORE REPS SO THAT WAIT TIMES ARE NOT > AN HOUR! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER NETGEAR PRODUCT!
