This Netgear router solved all my connection probl

I tried two (2) N900 Netgear routers to replace my older N300 Netgear router, i need more speed and wanted to use many other WiFi systems on same router. both the two N900 routers had the speed but they just kept losing connection. I tried many time to get help from Netgear support and they really tried to help me, but the N900 just would not stay connected and had to be rebooted and rebooted. so returned the N900 and exchanged it for the Netgear Night Hawk router. Set it up and it's been working great, fast with no lost connections. I won't bore you with any Tech talk, just tell you it has done everything i wanted a router to do. It my cost a little more but IMHO it's well worth the extra cost. Also i can't say more about the great support my Local Best Buy gave me in getting my exchange. If you are not happy with this Netgear router you can always return it to Best Buy. But i don't feel you will want to return it.

It was easy to set up - right over the top of an older Netgear Router. Just plugged it in and it started right up. Much better wifi coverage in the house, too, compared with the old one.

A Fast and Reliable AC1900 Router

This is our third router that we have owned. Usually when we purchase a new router we get an entry level one. Our old Belkin router would constantly freeze and we would have to reset it. We have not experienced any freezes since we bought it in August of 2014. The speed on this router is fast when connected with our devices that have the AC technology. I highly recommend this router to anyone looking to purchase a fast and reliable AC router.

My review is based on the ease of set up only. I purchased this product after reading the reviews, but was concerned about the reviews that noted they had difficulty setting it up. I'm not a computer wiz but have your basic knowledge about computers. The set up was very easy and only took about 10-15 minutes. Working great. Can't speak to the long term reliability, but anyone with general computer knowledge should be able to easily set this up. The directions are very clear and easy.

    Great AC Router

When streaming Netflix or Crackle with my old router, I would get buffering and drop outs several times during a movie. That happened on both my Vizio smart TV and Sony wireless Blu-Ray player. That router was also a AC router. On the recommendation from my son, I bought this router to see if the old router was really the problem or the distance from my router to the entertainment center was too far, about 35 feet. The R7000 was a snap to setup, took about 10 minutes and was online. Used the old SSID name and password so all my wireless gadgets connected without a problem. Netflix on both the smart TV and wireless Blu-Ray now has no buffering at all. I have watched complete 3D movies without a flicker. My iPad and cell phone now have a great connection at over twice the distance as before. The router is a little expensive, but like they say you get what you pay for and that holds very true with this router. Great $ value. If you have a large area you need wireless coverage in, this is the router for you.

I live in an area where there are at least 50 other WIFI networks competing for the spectrum. I was using an Apple Airport Extreme and had nothing but issue in my new home. My other issue was my house has lot's of walls and rooms. The Airport range was crippled and i only had solid connection in half of the house. After doing a lot of research and talking to some of my network systems administrator friends, I decided to give the Nighthawk a try. I was instantly amazed at the signal strength. Full bars on every device throughout the house. Not to mention my tests on Speedtest and Speakeasy were the highest they've ever been. I was also able to hook up my Color LaserJet which is USB only to the router in no time. Now it's shared throughout the house. Added a 1TB USB drive to it as well for our Time Machine backups. Backups over WIFI are surprisingly fast too. Definitely worth the extra money. Time to eBay my airport extreme!
