Beast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is an absolute beast. My N150 devices are getting a consistent 40-50mbps. My AC1200 device gets ~100mbps but I think that is limited by the fact it is a USB adapter. These devices are very far from the router in a 4000 sqft home. Have only had it a few days but it hasn't needed a reboot yet.

Excellent Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is, by far, one of the best routers that I have used in an extremely long time. It is easy to configure, use, and manage. It has been capable of handling everything that I have thrown at it so far (tablets, phones, TV, Xbox One, etc.) without any lag. Highly recommended.

Quite Impressed!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's only been a few hours since I started using the Netgear Nighthawk and I'm quite impressed!! I was intimidated at first, but set up was simple. The signal is phenomenal!! Why have I wasted money in the past buying $50 and $60 routers? I previously owned a Linksys and a D-Link and they didn't last. The signal was always weak and constantly dropped. I couldn't even sit on my back porch and stream the internet. This Nighthawk even works great outside!! The ONLY negative...I don't like the fact that I couldn't give the network my own name and password. I'm going to search and see if it's possible to do that. Other than that, great product!!

Easy Install for a non-techie
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace an old Linksys route that died. I am only low-medium Senior tech person. This had high reviews both in Consumer Reports and online BestBuy.com. Purchased it this afternoon and had it up and running within 10 minutes. The Genie software made it a breeze - both computers, laptop and Kindle are working perfectly and page loading really seems much faster. You won't go wrong with this router!

great router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is a negative review mixed in here stating that this router stifles airprint if genie is not running. That is incorrect. Please ignore that review. People often write ill-advised reviews slandering products in ignorance. This is a great router. That DOES NOT AFFECT APPLE AIRPRINT IN ANY WAY... We have it and have no issues.

Here is some feed for you, oh mighty nighthawk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is a fine upgrade from my wndr4500(n900) wireless n router.when I use turtlebeach headset I experience no interference, like when I used my old wndr4500 or asus routers. this router has a powerful cpu(1ghz).256 ram per core(dual core). I recommend viewing the threads on netgears website. there is a list of compatable hdd to use with usb3.0 also when using advance qos downstream, the directions warn you this feature will cause problems with other applications. so I turned mine off. the advanced qos upstream is nice and runs a speedtest for you in the qos settings. there is a firmware update available.i run speedtests and I get good results. sometimes I need to reset the router because I live in a busy neighborhood. the gigabit lan connection works better with cat 6 wires then the wndr4500. I gave it 4 stars because of the qos downstream and the usb 3.0 problem. i do not use wifi ac, but this router outperforms previous and current ac routers. i will be keeping this router guaranteed. internet seems more stable compared to v600 and n900 routers, and asus routers. i have over 17 devices that connect including smart tvs surround sound i pads xbox ones and 360 , smart phones and laptops, blurays and a printer... it performs as expected. i was looking for something like this for 4 years now. and with the advance qos upstream capability this is the first true gaming router compared to other routers which this technology did not exist.

Excellent signal and easy to install
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Netgear N router and it did ok at our apartment but when I moved into a house I had some dead spots. I moved it from the basement to the garage to laundry room with no success. When I would have football parties coverage was always bad in the basement or outside playing bags tailgating (depending on which spot I had the router). Now its good everywhere. I wall mounted it in the basement by the stairs so it provides good strong signal to everywhere in my lot. $200 might seem like alot but its worth every penny. Plus now I have 2 usb's for an external HD and my printer so we can connect to them wirelessly. And one is a USB 3.0 which is faster via wifi than the direct usb from my older laptop. Overall it is a WIN!

End all your problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great router. I'm replacing a Cisco wireless router that didn't get a good signal in select rooms of my house. Our wireless HD streaming was virtually useless until I installed this router. All signals are greatly improved throughout. I would definitely recommend this to a friend for the $199 price tag, it's worth it if you are trying to overcome problems, or if you just want to do it right the first time!

Great upgrade to any home network
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this Knighthawk Ac1900 to replace an outdated NetGear router and immediately noticed a big difference in overall reception!!! Before using this router we were finding deadspots in our 2,400 sqft house and certain rooms upstairs in the corners would drop the signal as well as streaming netflix 4k content in the furthest room from the router... With the Knighthawk we had no issues streaming 4k content and are now able to receive a signal out into the neighbors backyard! Would highly recommend a knighthawk router to anyone looking for a giant boost to their wireless signal and for those of you running multiple devices at the same time!

Tech Support Nightmare
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initial setup seemed to be going fine - all my devices linked up with no problem...until my desktop. It said it was connected to the internet - but internet pages would not load. In the first of the 2&1/2 hour phone calls with tech support they insisted that the problem was not with this Netgear device but had to be my computer. Support for that would require paying a minimum $69.99 for six months support. Major hard sell - very hard sell. I finally caved and after that long long call, and it seemed to finally work I shut down the desktop and took it back to it's regular location (I had to haul it close enough to the router to run an Ethernet cable connection#. Turned it back on - tried to load an internet page and guess what? Same problem. Gritting my teeth I call again and this time it is "escalated" and I am assured they will fix the problem. After ANOTHER TWO & 1/2 HOURS ON THE PHONE #for a total of five hours folks# I finally hit the wall and told them to just stop - credit me my money back and I will take their product back to Best Buy and return it. Had to go to a supervisor to a customer service rep #who tried one more time to get me to stick with the $69.99 service plan# when I had to get VERY firm and insist that they either credit me back immediately or I will be calling my bank to put a protest on that charge. They finally relented. I unhooked this product, and hooked my old router back up #also Netgear ironically# and my desktop internet access worked just fine again. Bottom line? You just might be lucky and have this product work fine for you. If it doesn't? Pack it back up and go directly back to Best Buy to return it. Do NOT call their Tech support #which is far more "sales" than "support"# unless you have nothing better to do than spend most of your day on the phone watching incompetence in action.

Improved speed and range compared to my old router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has been working great. Really improved my speed and range compared to my Linksys EA 6350. It is a price difference but you can tell there is a difference performance.

Really reliable browser interface
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With routers the hardware does its job but the interface for setting up connections/security is an afterthought. However, Netgear really delivers a well thought-out interface and it is super simple to use. I personally like the use of non-broadcasted SSID and some sort of MAC filtering and this does it so much simpler than past models I've used.

New Wireless Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently upgraded to the NetGear Nighthawk after years of use of an old Linksys WRT54G for my wireless router needs. My old router took some time to get set-up, but one complaint I never had was in regard to it's reliability. I originally intended to go with the newest Linksys offering for my upgraded networking experience, but was convinced to give the Nighthawk a try after researching and reading reviews. My initial impression has been great. Set-up was easy and intuitive, modifications and adjustments to the network are a snap with the Netgear Genie App and the speed of the network has been excellent for streaming HD video and gaming.

Absolutely the BEST!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this router six months ago replacing a Netgear WNR3700 with consideration to upgrading my ISP to Longmont's Nextlight 1GB fiber optic service. The router was extremely easy to set up. The GUI is extensive allowing you to tailor your home network easily. LAN speed was outstanding as was wireless coverage in multi-level home (w/basement) when paired with my Century link 40/5 service. Just upgraded to Next-light 1GB fiber optics and am even more impressed with LAN and wireless speed and ease of setup. I highly recommend this wireless router. You won't go wrong for the quality and price.

Good for Web Surfing and Email
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do recommend this router if you are primarily using it for web access, and email. If the content is only coming to you this is a great wifi router with excellent range. If you need to make voice over IP telephone or video calls or play games in real time multimedia formats look for something else. The QoS on this router does not support standards based settings, and does not support queuing. This is problematic as I require the ability to make video calls including facetime and telepresence, as well as voice calls using vonage, cisco voip, clearsea, and other services.
