Set up was annoying only because I assumed I needed to put my modem in bridge mode since that used to send out the wifi signal, but then nothing would connect. So just plugging in and playing seems to be working for now. Speeds are much improved!

Bought this unit as my previous routers had trouble covering my whole home including my upstairs. This router not only gives me great coverage anywhere in the house, the speed is great too with no more streaming issues and no lag when gaming. Highly recommended.

For some reason, products connected via the 5G don't always mesh. Generally however, it works.

I replaced an older NetGear router with this one, because my experience with it was very good. I have used other brands and had even returned one due to difficult installation. Other than having to hook up cables and power, this one virtually installs itself.

Most reviews with “one star” I usually attribute to user error, however, I am far from the common user as I worked in information technology field for over 17yrs. At the last minute I decided to forgo the AirPort Time Capsule and give the AC1900 Nighthawk Smart WiFi Router (Model: R7000) a chance. After about 4 months the router started consistently give me an error that the page couldn’t be displayed on various devices (iPhone/Samsung S5/iPad) various operating systems (OS X/Windows). Not to mention the connection issues with my gaming devices. I connect to my Hotspot and get no issues. I called Netgear and after 2 days with1.5 hr each day with their support requesting that I perform all of the troubleshooting steps that I already did before I called them,they finally decided to send me another device. It only took the send device about two days before I started receiving the same error. And to think, there was a time I considered purchasing the AC3200-Nighthawk X6 Tri-Band WiFi Router and eventually the ReadyNas but if this type of service/performance is an indication of what I am to expect, I’ll pass…..And when asked for advice of on a router, I can not recommend this device with a clean conscious. My family is completely dissatisfied with the service of this product….Also, I’m glad I copy/pasted this email, because I got the aforementioned error when trying to post…SMH

I picked a good router for the price. My internet connection comes in at corner of home upstairs. Was concerned that basement level on opposite side would be weak. Excellent signal strength throughout the house. My old router (5+ years old) was inconsistent.

We needed another router to get wi-fi reception in our teenager's bedroom upstairs. This router did the trick for a reasonable price. Satisfied with the product and the price.

Great high speed throughput. Got it at Black Friday pricing which made it a steal. Love its Echo Alexa enabled. With voice commands you can turn guest wifi on or off, send wifi settings to your phone, and fully reboot the router.

Great router and steady connection! No interruption even with walls!

This one is a no-brainer, this wireless router floods my 2 story 3000 sqft home with 5Ghz connectivity. But you need to do two things: 1) Buy it from Best Buy 2) Kick yourself for not buying it 2 years ago, it's that awesome.

great upgrade from our old system-- easy to install and recommend

This was a great device, however as of recently the device has suffered from wireless drops every few minutes. After a bit of research, it seems Netgear's support forum is full of users with this exact issue - which has developed as a result of a bugged firmware. To make matters worse, the suggestions of "factory reset the device/restore an older firmware" do not solve the problem. This device WAS an easy recommend, however it's now something that everyone should avoid as it is plagued with connectivity issues.

Best router out there ny opinion I'm very happy no dead spots

I am so impressed with this product. I went on a limb because our current modem was awful and then installed this gem and our wifi is working 10 million times better. Super easy to use, extremely easy to change settings. LOVE IT!

For those of you that have this issue. I have an xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and if you are an online gamer you can relate to this. Nat type open strict or moderate. Well all i can say is that the nighthawk will give you an Open Nat type on multiple consoles. You dont have to port foward / port trigger or DMZ. Just enable the UPnP and there is a NAT feature that you can either open or secured. Enable the NAT type to open and you are all set. Leave you consoles IP to auto you do not have to manually assign an IP. This is a huge upgrade from my Linksys EA4500 which work well but cannot handle more that one gaming console.

It was easy to set up, grate speeds along with excellent range covers most parts of tow story home. There are other expensive routers with higher wifi speeds however this one suffices the needs !!

If you have Verizon this the best router to use for the wireless. You will get more signal through out the house. i even bought a second one for my business. works greats with no problems

We have 2 tablets, a pc and 4 smart phones running on this router and it can keep up great. We used to have issues with the range on our old one but this fixed the problem. Pricey but worth the money so far.

I did not have a good experience with this router. It started out fine, good range and easy to set up. But after several days, the throughput kept dropping. It finally bottomed out at no better than 40 mbps, after getting over 400 mbps when I first started using it. I checked many support forums, even at the Netgear site, and many other purchasers had a similar experience. Netgear had no solutions. I finally took it back and will not try a Netgear router in the near future. I know that many have users have not had the problem, but for those that do, there is no fix.

It was a bit inconvenient that I needed to download an app, but it works well. So no complaints
