This works great for a wired entertainment system.

Set up is a pain but once you’re past it. Works great for multiple gaming systems n streaming 4K content.

I love my net gear nighthawk switch I’m able to Control the Internet going to my seven different game systems .

Nice just wish I could mount it on the wall. no place to do that, so I used industrial Velcro and life is good again.

Not the best for the amount you pay. Other products do the same for less

the issue i have is that i had a linksys switch that i got for like 20 bucks and i see no difference in anything. i tweaked it out and still same. on the other hand it looks sweet with the light so i would recommend for looks and def does what it is suppose to but dont believe the hype on this model.

This product was pure junk. Would not hit 100mbps download on any channel regardless of settings on the HUB. I have fiber at 100 up and 100 down and this thing even with just one device connected. Max it would hit was 32mbps down. It added huge latency to my games also. This product was awful.

This enhances our internet however the hub it connects to has been having several issues

I bought this item and could not get it to work. I’ve set up numerous switches and networks in the past, but this switch would never get recognized by my network. I returned it to Best Buy.

Purchased this switch to replace an older Netgear (3 years old), that stopped working. This gem works as advertised. I installed it to feed my entertainment area (Smart TV, Dish Network, Xbox, DVD, etc.). I have a 250 MB Comcast connection, that regularly gets 270-300 MB during speed tests. With the old Netgear switch, I would sometimes get some drops on Xbox and some buffering on Netflix.So far, no drops, no buffering. I tested a couple 4K streams and they looked great and ZERO buffering. It is all metal and is plug and play. Easy setup, plug it in, connect your cables and you are done. Highly recommended for households with streaming, gaming, etc.

Needed a firmware update that is not yet available from manufacturer

I bought this at another online retailer but thought I'd give my 2 cents anyway. I had multiple devices in my entertainment centre some of which connected wirelessly. This included: 1. Sony Android TV 2. PS4 3. XBOX One S 4. DROBO 5N 5. Apple TV 4 6. Sonos Playbar/Sub/2 x Play One's (5.1 setup) 7. 4k DVR/Cable Box (receives signal via ethernet) 8. Router Even though I have gigabit fibre optic internet in my home I noticed that some of the devices such as the Apple TV/Android TV and game consoles didn't perform at their best. They weren't getting the best speeds via a wireless connection. My router didn't have enough ethernet ports to wire everything so I decided to buy this switch. It has dramatically sped up all devices, simplified my setup and freed up the wireless spectrum in the home. The switch itself is a solid piece of metal with some heft to it. It feels like a high quality product. The configuration GUI for the switch is also excellent and simple to use and setup. Each port on the switch can connect at a maximum of 1 Gigabit and each port operates independently meaning even if you connect a device that maxes out at a 100 Megabits it will not slow down other Gigabit enabled devices to the slower speed. All in all the device is worth the premium over the standard 8 port switch. P.S. Make sure to update the firmware when you first set it up and use quality CAT 6 ethernet cables.

speeds would go up & down all the time ,it just about drove me nuts

Mine was faulty and did not work so returned it immediately.
