Customers are saying

Customers praise the Nighthawk X10 AD7200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router for its impressive range, strong performance, and ease of setup, resulting in excellent coverage and signal strength, great for streaming and other demanding applications. However, some customers note that the router is expensive and large, and a few have experienced issues with the firmware. Despite these drawbacks, many users find the improved speed and reliability worthwhile.

I fully recommend this router. I wanted a stand alone router to run Plex, but it also makes everything faster.

This router is awesome but if you contact the manufacturer for tech support you are going to regret it.. in other words horrible tech support. With that being said add warranty just to have peace of mind.

This router is insanely fast, even at low bandwidth speeds it increased my speeds dramatically. I since upgraded to gigabit internet, and it's a beast.

Awesome router. Noticeably improved range over the R8000 I replaced with this. PLEX was tougher to setup than I anticipated, but was able to do so with help from some forums.

It is a great product but with the salesperson pushing it I learned days later that this isn't for your typical home. This is for very large homes or a business.

This Wi-fi router has a strong signal. We have several TV's streaming and several other devices in the house and all have a strong uninterrupted signal. Highly recommend.

I bought this thinking I would get better coverage for my house & then also get the fast WIFI AD but there isn't any devices out there that have the capability.

This is the best Wi-Fi router money can buy. I highly recommend this to everyone looking for the strongest, safest, and fastest Wi-Fi router. Netgear can't be beat.

This works great and it reaches all parts of my house too. Had a Linksys WRT 1900 that word OK but this Netgear R900 works much better.. Its pricey but well worth it...

It's an expensive router but it's worth what you pay. I get a good strong signal in all parts of the house and out in the detached garage as well.

I had high hopes for this router when I bought it. I was replacing my already amazing Nighthawk X8 with this one so that I can move my PLEX server off of my iMac and onto the router so that I can actually put my Mac to sleep every now and then. The Nighthawk while looking better then it's predecessor cannot handle the transcoding of even a single stream (in network) let alone the 4-6 streams I have going out of network at some given times. It does have a great new installation method (app) which was useful, but for the advanced user, it was hardly worth the download. If you're looking for a wireless router that will destroy the competition, than the X10 is the one. The wireless speeds are unmatched, and the design is just BA! With all that said, If I wasn't already on the X8 I would have kept the X10. But for the price, it just wasn't worth the upgrade for me. Especially since I was mainly jumping up for the PLEX functionality.

Needed a router that was able to handle lots of streaming traffic, as well as provide large wireless coverage. Although expensive, this one fit the bill

This router is a beast. I have all networks activated (2.4, 5, 10, and dual guest), and each is reliable and lightning fast. The active antenna are impressive and give a very large range of the signals. I stream 4K with ease, and never see a slowdown in any network on my system. This is a gorgeous piece of tech, and I'm yet to see a downside. Some would say it's expensive, but if you run a lot of tech that requires insane bandwidth this product will not let you down. The 10g network is simply amazing. If you have optical capabilities for your network you will be amazed by this feature built in.

I got this router solely for the PLEX feature, and it was also a plus for the other high end ones. PLEX can be plug and play if things work out, or it can definitely be serious problems. Make sure you read up on issues with PLEX if you are purchasing this solely for that. Bottom line for me I still have the router and still love it, and I have PLEX working with no issues. Hopefully future firmware updates can alleviate PLEX problems that tend to creep up.
