Great medium range router, Got it on a daily deal, great savings!!!

Setup was simple and this router works like a champ, No problems

I got 2 of these the first one could never get to the login of the router so was told to take it back. got a new one and the same issue. talking with tech support they said i do not get any free tech support because this router was manufactured in April of 2014 and the free 90 days of support of from the date manufactured and not when purchased. so if i wanted tech support i would need to pay for it. even after telling them i just purchased it 4 hours before. they told me that does not matter it goes by when it was manufactured and i would need to take it back and ask for one that was manufactured in the last 90 days for support and it would only be for what was left of the 90 days from when it was produced. With this kind of support i will never purchase a netgear product again.

Great for functionality, and signal strength, however the distance covered is not even close to as advertised....in the middle of our home main floor, this does not cover our whole house...we are currently looking at installing a new router.

WIFI Drops to many times in an hour also 5 GHz dont get internet connection some times

I read a lot of reviews and already had purchased a Netgear 16 port ethernet switch, so I decided to stay with Netgear for a primary router. After installation, I followed instructions for set up exactly. My browser brought up the "Genie" set up, but kept giving me errors (wouldn't connect with the router). After 3 times I took it back to Best Buy (they gave me no hassle whatsoever) and exchanged it for the comparable Asus - Extreme Wireless-AC2400 Dual-Band Gigabit Router - Black. The Asus worked flawlessly. If you attempt to buy this router, I hope you have better luck then I had.

Had to call Tech Support, who had me return this model twice because of Software/Hardware issues. On the third install I decided to go with a Netgear - Nighthawk X6 AC3200, which was a breeze to install and setup and had no issues. My recommendation is to go with the X6 you won't regret you did.

expected better, it does not have much range, but it looks very nice

I picked up this router to help ease up the stress off my Apple Airport Extreme and it did just that. However, I had to reboot it once because my laptop did not receive an IP address via DHCP server. Since I rebooted it, it has been rock solid since.

Top of my list this is my second netgear and love it.. I need another one so I could bridge with my 7000 It has meet all my requirements?..........................

Not a techno person. The sales person in the store explained the different bands to me. Had no problem setting up and was online in 3-5 minutes.

spent several hours on hold and repeating diagnostics with Netgear tech support. They finally diagnosed the router as defective and said to return it to Best Buy for replacement. Best Buy said that i had to get RMA approval from Netgear. i will never shop at Best Buy again and will shop on-line. Same level of service with much more convenience than going to Best Buy.
