best Netgear product I've ever had. must be set up correctly for your needs and Netgear gives you plenty of features and options to make sure it can be set perfectly for your application. Also, netgear made it so it will work right out of the box but you will see better performance if adjusted for your application.

So I replaced an older AC 1900 with this updated model. It's easy to install and connect to. It comes with software you can use on your phone if you want. I used it for about 2 weeks and suddenly it started doing wifi signal so I reset it and used the smart connect setting and it's been good ever since. It seems like it was the 5g wifi band that was giving me issues.

Works great! Connects fast and awesome coverage! Even though a little more than some, worth every penny:)

I first got this router on April 2018 and kept using until june 2019. That alone can be considered a big statement of it's quality and performance. I ONLY replaced it for a newer (and simpler) WiFi6 router because I bought 2 laptos and 2 cellphones with WiFi 6 and I wanted to test the actual benefits of it. To be honest, I regretted my decision. This router is much better than newer, cheaper versions with WiFi6, and that's mainly due to MU-MIMO. A new (comparable) WiFi6 device with MIMO is around double the price of this old warrior here. Updates of course became more scarce for it, but still, I consider it a great "budget" option with great performance. The NETGEAR app is quite garbage if you ask my opinion, but I never fully tested the newer and improved version....I always preferred to administer the settings through browser (192.168.x.1).

I love my netgear nighthawk! My Netflix was buffering a couple of times a day & I pay for faster speed internet. My router was pretty old. My best buy associate was super helpful. Chose the Nighthawk and installed the free app on my phone. Plugged it in and had it running in 5 minutes. Awesome! Super fast internet, Netflix hasn't buffered once since then!

Our previous router struggled to keep up with the laptops, Chromebooks,tablets,phones and streaming TV programs. It lagged badly and needed to be reset constantly. The nighthawk has worked unbelievably well allowing all our devices to work and after about a month we have yet to reset it. We are very pleased with the purchase and would certainly recommend.

EXACTLY WHAT WAS NEEDED with multiple phones, laptop, tablets, TV's & yes, the Xbox our internet was slow, dragged and bumped us off. Thought it was my Internet UNTIL, I brought it up to my favorite BEST BUY staff member Josh he mentioned the Router might be the issue. OH MY WORD. Converted from a Modem/Router combo or all in one box to now using separate equipment. This paired with the Netgear CM1000 (docsis 3.1) worked amazing in home. Excellent choice if you are looking to run Gigablast. Set up was simple by just downloading and app on my phone. Simply download the app, connect to your WiFi and follow the steps in the app. Took less than 5 mins to complete.

This is an amazing router with great range and speed throughout the entire home.

Great speeds; however, lost connectivity a lot making it more frustrating than what it was worth. Returned and went back to using 5th gen Apple.

Easy set up. Made a immediate difference in speed for gaming and streaming.

Great router upgrade from a modem/router combo that had bad wifi capabilities. Disabled the wifi band's on the modem to be a standalone modem and has worked better every since.

I had a asus AC1900. I have a 3500 sq ft home and it's range was terrible. Upgraded to the X6 and for the extra money it was worth it. I am not having any problems connecting to the Internet.

This Neatgear nighthawk has 3 Wi-Fi settings and with 6 people in our house and everyone on numerous Wi-Fi gagets you can set one for just your stuff and the other two for the rest of family
