Fantastic WiFi Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Full disclosure - I am a technology professional, so I cannot comment on ease of setup. My primary drivers for upgrade were range to cover the two main floors of my house and the basement, support for newer devices (5G), and throughput (I have 175 mb/s internet). This far exceeded my expectations in all of those categories.

Bottlenecks Speeds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been having issues for a month that I have had it with bottlenecking my speeds. I have 500mb internet through my isp and get those speeds direct to my PC. However once I hook up the router I only get about 250mb down although I still get about 450mb up. I’ve checked Netgear forums and this seems a common problem that doesn’t seem to have an easy fix. For almost $300 it shouldn’t have this problem.

WiFi Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally got internet access via a microwave transceiver, but needed a router. This fit the bill nicely. Overkill for what my particular needs are, but there will be visitors, and kids with who knows what kind of devices. Anyway, installation was simple, and setup was a breeze. Couldn't be happier.

Seems to do what it is supposed to
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Happy with net gear. But so thrilled about the expensive antenna I bought that don't do nothing. Not worth only getting 2 Chanel's

Good router for complete coverage..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a Netgear 'N' router before and wanted to upgrade to the 'AC' router. I also didn't want to use an extender. This R8000 model covers my whole house efficiently. Probably is more router than I actually need, but I like being comfortable with Enough, than to wish had purchased more. I am perfectly happy with this model.

Such a great router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My office internet was particularly bad for several years. One day I realized it’s probably because we had a ton of devices on a cheap $30 router that couldn’t handle the traffic. Sure enough- after replacing it with this, the performance was significantly better.

Powerful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took a little time to get it set up as the directions leave a little to be desired, but I got it done. It puts out a great signal and the 3 channels (1)2.4 and (2) 5ghz work great. In the program you can see what channel each item is on and you can adjust the priority level for each, depending on what you need them to do.

It just works.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Previous Nighthawk worked for years, but recently was struck by lightning. Best Buy had what I was looking for, easy purchase, easy install, up and running again with only a few hours lost without internet. This router just simply is the best in class.

Solid, reliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like to set things like this up and have them work as advertised, with no headaches, lost signals, calling tech support, etc etc. This lives up to what I previously had from Netgear, the AC1900. No muss, no fuss, no worries. Like my previous Netgear router...just does what it says it will do...pretty simple.
