Fast is to slow a word. Amazing speed and range. I have over 15 items and they all have no issues. Not with surfing, browsing, streaming, gaming.

After owning an original R7000, I found myself asking the question if this new router would work better. Short answer is yes. I owned the Asus RT87R which without all the firmware issues could be a great router - However in it's current form it's trash. I returned the 87R for this Netgear X6 and I haven't had one issue of dropping 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz wireless radios I had with the Asus. It's stable and fast, just what I expect from any router costing north of $200. Unfortunately after owning the R7000, WRT1900AC and the AC-RT87R... This one actually works right!

I bought a new computer and couldn't find out why I was not getting stable reception in areas of my house where I usually have never had a problem. A rep at Best Buy suggested I try this router as it has great range. It reaches everywhere in my house, garage and my guest house. Plus, it has solved the buffering we were beginning to get on a few of the Netflix and Amazon movies we watch. The buffering was only just beginning to happen with a couple of shows. I'm sure I have now prevented, with the new Nighthawk X6 AC3200 router, what only would have become much more of a problem in the future. Very pleased with my home network now.

Had issues before with dead spots upstairs, even with a bridge Wi-Fi up there. This not only eliminated it, but it is getting speeds double what we got before! Works great with the kid's Xbox!

This router has extended the range and increased the speed that I was obtaining from my Comcast provided combination modem/router. Easy to set up and so far no problems. Best router I have owned.

This router replaced a Linksys a/c router that was about 2 years old (and had died). Our first Nighthawk router didn't work for more than a week before it died, but the replacement is very nice. Good range (our router sits on top of a cabinet on the second floor at the far end of the house, and we still get a usable but weak signal 70 feet away at the other end of the house on the first floor (with the access point turned off). We have an access point on the other side of the house to help the signal. It's a strange looking design (kind of like an upside down spider), and I haven't noticed any difference in signal strength with the antennas pointed in different directions.

Provides good coverage for our home. We have a 2700 sq foot home and it works well. Love the ability to attach 2 USB devices, for me that's USB Drive and Printer. The only downside is the price.

I had an old netgear N600 router that died last month. So, started looking for a better router. I was looking at newer Orbi mesh router, but thought but pricy.. in the meantime, this one was on sale. So thought of give it a try... It's amazing. My home is a 2800 square foot single story home. This router covers entire home without any signal loss. Never had any issue for the past few weeks. Easy installation & superior performance.

Router was easy to setup. It has a priority traffic feature which determines which devices need more bandwidth based on activity (usually games get highest priority). This has been really nice. Previously I would get buffering issues and lag due to equal demand on my old router, especially when there would be 5+ people with phones in the house. This router has basically eliminated that problem.

I do feel it is an excellent buy - been using for more than a month and very happy with the performance. Setup was very easy and took about 15 - 20 minutes at the max. Would definitely recommend the product.

Great router easy to set up you can even set up an account to track and see your speeds .. Would highly recommend this.. The cable guys even said this was one of the best..

I am an it professional and have 15 years of experience in networking. I have bought multiple of these for large areas and signal goes beyond what I have expected. The Netgear R8000 is the best in the market. don't look anywhere else. I tried the best routers of Linksys, Asus). I only use 1 Netgear R8000 per big warehouse and everything loads instantly and we have a lot of devices hooked up to it. at least 30 to 40 at the same time. I am very satisfied with this product, it's excellent quality. R8000 won't let you down. I highly recommend it.

I researched several dual and tri band routers before deciding on this one. This one is super fast and allows a LOT of users without slowing down any speed while using it.

Love it! East to set up and install. Currently have 16 devices connected and they all work great. Also love the fact that I can access the router from my iPhone with the Netgear Genie app.

The Sales Associate at Best Buy told me that this router would be the best bang for the buck and he was right. I'm getting 60 mbps on this router wirelessly. Outstanding !

I have only had this router for just over one week so far. The Netgear Nighthawk X6 is a beast. I upgraded from my TP link N600 and the difference was immediately noticeable. The range on the Nighthawk X6 is twice the distance of the TP link. Also, It is more responsive and seems to connect to devices more quickly when powering them on. The Nighthawk also uses a USB 3.0 port for the shared network hard drive which allows you to access shared files 3-4 times faster than routers using USB 2.0 ports. I highly recommend this router if your want faster connections with better range and a more reliable home network.

Physically it's a monster. So...make sure you have the space. I had an Asus RU66, and it was acting up wouldn't connect with some of the devices well, like my DVR. And it had been a couple of years. I decided to get the biggest, and "best" which for the most part is. The interface is real easy to set up even for novices. The only issue this didn't get 5 starts is the range. I expected a much better range than my old router, and it really isn't. For the money (almost $100 more) one would think it would be outstanding, but, unfortunately, it's not. All in all, I think it's a really good purchase, and is a router that meets current speed needs until more is needed with 4K content a couple of years from now.

I set up networks for a lot of homeowners and this netgear nighthawk has great coverage and is easy to set up. I have set up 6 of these routers and all are working great with no issues.
