    Nighthawk soars through the internet

Nighthawk router was purchased to replace a older failing wifi router. It has some issues reaching the far ends of 2500 sq ft house but it is expected with several walls and floors to penetrate. The 5Ghz connection sometimes drops out even being within 10 ft of the device. Speeds when connected are great, and multiple devices can stream at the same time. There are about 30+ devices connected including many IoT smart things.

The router has a strong signal throughout my 1500 sq ft town home. It can load balance devices across multiple channels and I tested 3 devices streaming Netflix or YouTube for several hours with no skipping or latency. The web-based interface is easy to use and the router sports some advanced configurations for better administration control, advanced policies, etc. The router is large but it looks cool and will serve as a great home or small office router. One final thought, the web-interface is similar to WNDR or earlier model Netgear routers so if you owned a previous Netgear router this one will be easier to use as its configurations will look all too familiar.

Not a good choice if you have iOS devices

Had issues with this router. Specifically with iOS devices. It more often than not will refuse to let iphones or ipads on the network by saying the device has the incorrect password. Then miraculously it will work after a reboot (or by trying many many times). I found others with the same problem on a few forums, and it's been going on for a while. Wish I had known this before buying it. I can't recommend this router because I had to return it and I replaced it with an Asus that doesn't have these problems. Both routers were configured identically, yet this one was unable to cut it. On the other hand, the speed and range of it were excellent. It's a shame it doesn't play nice with some devices though. I really wanted to like this one. Netgear has always been my goto router company, and will likely give them another shot in the future. But this specific one was a large bust for me. Couldn't get it to work.

I was tired of having the various internet providers tell me it was my equipment so I finally splurged on a modem and a router. I've had this unit about a month and I love it. Excellent speed and coverage.

Easy to set up with the Nighthawk app. It handles my numerous wifi enabled gadgets plus the computers. I wish it had a better range, though.

This router definitely out performs my previous netgear router. It gets much more distance and even using it for my business has features we probably wont even need or use. Its a good value.

I bought this thinking it was more powerful than my ATT unit. I have to use an extender and thought also I could discontinue that as well. The answer is NO is does not perform any better. Yes, I’m still using an extender. The three WI-fi channels are handy.

I was told by geek squad that this product will be great coverage for my home but it doesn't work. I still can't get coverage in my back room. It was easy to set up. You don't need to pay the $99 for geek squad's install.
