Does what it needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a solid router, does what it needs to do. -1 star for wanting you to download an unnecessary app to set it up and -1 more star for having a sticker on the front telling you to download the app along with an icon indicating you can peel it off but leaving a nasty film behind that is nearly impossible to remove. The web interface is OK, I am used to the ASUS one that is more modern, to me it looks like the same netgear interface they've been using for the past decade and not something I just spent over $200 on. Maybe the app that they're really pushing you to install looks better. WiFi coverage is pretty good and what you would expect, aesthetically the unit looks pretty cool (has that Stealth Fighter look which is why I suppose they call it the Nighthawk) Bottom line: if you don't mind an interface that looks like it was made in 2000 and don't mind left over sticker residue this is a pretty solid product.

I was hesitant before my purchase

Has 6 channels to assign an SSID too but in reality they tend to be shared in some way. There is a 2.4 ghz and two 5 ghz channels. The 5 ghz channels can operate as independent channels or bonded. The guest channels are share with the primary channels. So if you decide to shut down the primary 2.4 ghz channel you also will shut down the guest channels.
