We haven't had any problems with this device. We prefer Netgear over Linksys because you can troubleshoot where you're losing your internet connection with their app whether the internet is currently working or not.

Works Great! I bought it so i could stream Video game play and also limit others for using too much bandwidth in my home so i wouldn't experience lag. Works great.

We purchased this router thinking it would work with our new outdoor Ring Doorbell cameras but the signal range is limited and you’ll need an extender. Maybe get the mesh router instead.

A very nice router -took on many devices but did not resolve our streaming issues. Our movie streaming through apple tv continued to glitch. We think it was a compatibility issue with apple tv. Otherwise, handled all other wifi needs.

I was using Linksys routers for several years. My last one was the EAG900 that I bought in the mid year of 2014. I did not receive a clear signal for the different uses at home. The availability of low signals went worse when my grandkids started using the XBox games. No signal was available for any of the phones or internet connections. I decided to start looking for another router option and I decided to try the R8000 NetGear router. It was an easy installation and started working well. I also bought the Netgear Extender and is giving more power for the remote areas from the router. Now we can receive s good signal for the internet service, game consoles, ipads and iphones, and stream downloads.

This is a beast of a router .The best I have seen or used .It will handle all your gaming and streaming needs.Thanks to nether for making this router.And to best buy for hiring great associates that was so helpful.

Once I upgraded my internet speeds to the 1 GB service the modem only has 200 to 300 mbps download speeds. The technician tested the modem and it was only showing 150 mbps.

This router gives me "whole house" coverage. I can easily connect (stay connected) on my front porch and back patio as well. I really like it's looks, and the built in antennas. The Netgear tech. Support is the best.

I was not getting a good WiFi signal in my new 2 story home. The sales assistant, Behar was so nice and took time to get me the right router. It works great and I am very satisfied with Best Buys and great service.

I got this for my new house. I wanted the most powerful one I could find for my cable internet so I got this one. Glad I did. Works great. Even has a goofy password that I can actually remember.

Works great, and the price was right. I thought it was one price but it actually was another price displayed right under it which was cheaper.

Has a lot of features most of which I haven't yet used but has definitely helped with our network!! Everything seems to run smoothly even with 10 plus electronics on at the same time!!

Not sure what my problem is, but I bought this with hopes of upgrading my current smart home. Unfortunately, since switching to this router my upload and download speeds have dropped drastically...I will be returning it.

Netgear Nighthawk has privided me with fast downloads. Since my Nighthawk purchase i haven't had any drops and can connect to it anywhere from any room of my home and in my driveway.l

Definitely an excellent router. The old saying goes you get what you paid for. It’s pricey but it’s worth the money in this streaming world. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money.

Plug and play, just made sure firewall was set and turned off firmware auto-update and set password. I'd rather update the firmware when I want to since sometimes the newer firmware isn't that great.

Thought my internet service was crappy. Turns out it wasn’t all the service but also my router, that wasn’t cheap. My husband bought this one and we have had little to no issue with the WiFi dropping!

With this router it doesn't seem to matter how many different devices I add on to my home network the respnse time is still very good. Don't undersize, pick this product and you will have all the band width you need.

My wifi connection was terrible. We have more than 10 devices and the connection was becoming weak. We upgraded to the this model and we are loving the speed. No interruption wth streaming, easy to set up and reboot.

Great sound and portability. Connection setup through router is easy and since it is a wireless system, the portability to different rooms is a definite plus.
