Bought this at BestBuy, very easy setup, little expensive but it does help extend our Wifi signal. Covers those deadspots!!!

I bought this because of the reviews. I am not pleased with this product. Yes when it works it is great. The signal drops alot. I have to reboot the router at least 2 times a week to get it back. I have 3 phones and 3 gaming systems in the house that are not on at all times.

Overall I'm happy with the router. It replaced an old d-link and the settings are a lot easier to get around and change things

The router is stable so far. I wish that It had the option to set multiple internet access schedules per decice throughout the day. As oppose to one schedule for all devices. For example, I want to be able to block off internet access for my kids throughout the day. This router only let you block access once. It would be nice if Netgear could update the firmware to make that possible.

I bought the Nighthawk x6 R8000 last month. The installation was very simple and easy. The setup was easy to. You can type routerlogin.net to start the setup Nothing to it. Per safety recommendations to prevent hacking, I changed the R8000 log in password. (The default is admin/password; changing the password is optional but highly recommended.) I have an older notebook that will connect at 300 MBPS, and I have a Netgear USB adapter 6200 that will connect about 950 MBPS. I have not seen this speed in any other router. I think I should be able to go even faster than that since this unit transmits on three bands, but I did not the time to tweak it yet. The R8000 has plenty of power and range. It covers my big house, backyard, and driveway with no problem at all. Also the tech support people are pleasant and very helpful and they don’t rush you. One thing I did not figure out yet is how to find the connection speed of the attached devices. I recommend the R8000.
