Our second Netgear. The first one was taken out by a storm. We upgraded and love this one too.

Had many issues with our cable company wifi but this seems to have done the trick.

The smart switch feature is not good and the 2.4ghz antenna is basically just for looks. Kills connection often and won't let a device back on until it feels like it. Using as the primary distributor for a 3 router in home network. Doesn't suck enough to return but probably won't buy another.

We had figured going with this would be leaps and bounds of an improvement from the shotty router our ISP was providing for us. We have 400mbps service and this router kills both wireless and wired speed. For months we have been lucky to break 250mbps with a wired connection from the router to my pc, usually less than 200mbps. Wireless is actually faster, but still under 300mbps. I had a technician come out because I was certain the service wasn't working correctly, he showed me the speed coming into the house, the speed coming from the outlet and finally the speed coming from the modem, Each of them exceeded our 400mbps service. Hooked everything back up and right back to 223mbps on a wired connection from the router to my pc. Even more frustrating is we have to reboot the router at least once a week, sometimes far more often. Twice tonight the router just lost all signal completely and had to be reset. Finally the wireless connection range is a joke. We live in a 1500 sq foot home, granted it does have lots of walls between the router and most of the wireless devices, but it's on the same floor and can barely power our firesticks that are less than 70' away. For dropping over $250 on this router I expected way more and have been severely disappointed.

i have owned the router for 6 weeks. i have had to reset the router back to factory settings 3 times since purchase because the router had all of the lights on the panel flashing and was unable to restart the router. if i have to reset this router one more time i am purchasing a router from a different company, at this price point, i expect great performance.
