Recommend a different router.

I've had troubles setting up new devices on this router, it will randomly cut off at times. The app is okay as well, sometimes can be a pain to deal with when you want to do port forwarding on some devices. The Nighthawk app is constantly loosing connection with the router, I'm always having to troubleshoot it when I want to check up on my network. Requires a separate subscription, if you want to get the full security features from the router(at the time of this review it's about $70 annually). It has troubles when you try to connect to the routers ip address directly as well. I recommend looking into different routers before trying this one.

I love tis router

Didn't put the extra warranty on and Netgear would not replace because of the one day expiration. I took another chance and decided to buy another one, just because I am able to get Wi-Fi on all my house and all 3 floors.

Signal range could be a lot better

I went from the Netgear R7000 to this one to get a little better range and this has not been the case at all. They both perform exactly the same distance wise. The only difference is that with the R8000 I get slightly higher wifi speeds.
