    Has good vertical range from the basement to my third floor bedroom. (Directly above the router)But poor range from my basem to my kitchen on the second floor about 70 feet from the router due north. Also there is no way to disconnect a device that is attached you can only view.

    I purchased this router thinking it would be better than my R7000. I was wrong. I don't get as much coverage and the functionality is spotty with the R8000. I am hoping future firmware revisions will help otherwise I am switching back.
