Hard to set up and barely covers the house
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to call support to set up and then got switched around a couple of times until finally someone could help me activate the nighthawk. It barely covers a 3000 sq ft house and cuts in and out. The different levels of WiFi are not explained at all as well. It's not great.

Worse than expected

So when I went to best buy and asked for better coverage and less on the spotty WiFi, I was pretty disappointed...

Pick a different router

We have to call Netgear to set it back up. The customer service people are difficult to understand and there’s always a delay on the phone. It’s a 2 hour ordeal every time. Avoid to save frustration.

Worthless product and Best Buy of no support/help!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for 29 days now. When it work, it's great! Problem is, that usually only lasts about 4-6 days at a time. What happens is that the wi-fi signal drops. Worse still, it has nothing to do with distance or interference. I have a device that rests two feet from it, and others that are 1000 ft away. And it selectively decides which one it will disconnect from, rendering it useless. Speaking of useless, Netgear support will have you do gimmicky things like change to a different channel in the router settings. Or reset the router. Those will get you reconnected...but then it drops the signal again in a matter of hours or days! But the ultimate in useless? Best Buy will NOT accept it for an exchange (not a return...an upgrade where I would pay more money to get a better unit) if you do your due diligence and try to work with the manufacturer's support to try to make it work as a viable purchase. You have 15 days in which to do that apparently (though they will also hit you with a stocking fee if you do!) So, two really bad companies to try to do business with!
