This router worked great but after four months it quit working and Netgear refuses to help me figure out why it doesn’t work. What company sells the most expensive router and then only supports it for 90 days unless it’s hardware but won’t help you determine if it is hardware so you’re stuck with a nonworking very expensive router? Shame on me for not realizing they didn’t offer any real support. Never again.

Netgear doesn't care about their products

After 10 month all three WIFI bands started exhibiting problems. Drops, hangs, and slow speeds. Contacted Netgear support but they refused to do anything as I'm outside the 90 day tech support window. I've spent hours troubleshooting issues and narrowed it down to either a hardware or firmware issue. Netgear won't take any warranty action unless I pay to have a tech remote into the router to confirm the problem.

Couldn't get this to connect to my Modem!

I coudn't get this to connect to my modem to get the extra boost I needed. I thought I was doing something wrong, so I called an Expert to come help me. He worked on it for a couple of hours, trying everything he could, and the same thing. It woudn't connect, needed a separate password for the unit, and still never synced together. I gave up. I am returning this unit. It's possible there was something wrong with it from the factory, but I won't give it another try.

I bought this router to replace an older router that finally gave out. This router was INCREDIBLY shakey when it came to speeds, and even at its best: It still wasnt able to reach the max speeds my older one was.

After a year of owning, still drops out, cannot be recognized but Netgear as a purchase, and the latest upgrade installed then tells you your router is not supported or can’t find it. Customer support wastes your time for 2 hours and promises a call back, which doesn’t happen. Save your money and save your aggravation. Go with another company’s product all together

Not sure what’s going with Netgear, but as of late, their recent products I’ve bought have been lackluster. Not for a 1,500 sq. ft. house, short range router.

      Hi OGSickSider82,

Horrible! Set up was easy. Up and running in no time. Unable to connect to my standard wireless printer. Very limited FTP capabilities. Replaced router with Linksys AC1900 from Best Buy. VERY PLEASED. Works perfectly right out of the box.

I bought the 3200 for more wireless coverage in my house and it does not work as well as the 1200 I had. Doesn’t do well once you step out of house a few feet. The 1200 did fine right outside of house

Had a few months and no longer works i bought it August 2020 by January or so it wasn’t working. I wasn’t going to leave a review but a friend of mine mentioned she wanted it and I said I wouldnt recommend and decided to share my experience with all. I had to go back to my internet provider router which sucks because this one wasn’t working as it should

I have had issues with this router from day one. I thought it would be fast, but it is slower than my old router, constantly drops connections, the SID is slow to turn up and making a connection is really slow. Despite it advertising a strong signal strength I cannot connect when I am the other side of my condo. I wish I could return it, but I will probably just throw it away. This is the last time I will purchase a NETGEAR router.

Supposed to be a fast reliable router for large homes but very inconsistent with horrible tech support. Payed for Netgear Armor and after a month it stopped working and won’t let me log back into my account. Called tech support for Armor and they won’t reactivate it without me sending proof of purchase but when I try to email a copy of the payment it won’t accept it.

Had a cheap linksy router provided by charter and got 64 mbps, bought this hoping it would increase bandwidth and distance. It did neither of those. Shot my internet down to 12 mbps. Don’t buy this

This isn't much better than my 10 year old dual band router and quite pricey. It's very slow to connect to my devices and rarely works with my outdoor cameras.

The router worked perfectly for one and a half years. But just today, the router's onboard settings OS failed. Thankfully it still runs and its MOST BASIC settings can still be edited via the mobile app. But I can't access the advanced stuff any longer. Breaking a few months after the warranty expires is just terrible design. I have to give it a one star. Avoid Netgear stuff. It just doesn't last.

I returned this one because it doesn't include a cable modem. Expensive for only half the functionality - unless you want to spend an equal amount on a high end modem in addition to this router.

    Truly impressive router

I had trouble with my wireless internet in my home. We dont have cable tv so myself and my three children watch everything online and we were constantly waiting for the internet to load our programs and/or games. I even increased my wireless internet to 50 mps to try and improve the speed. Then I purchased this router. I have never had an issue since. Everything is fast and without waiting. I even lowered my internet service back to 30 mps and it still works better than my old router/modem combo machine that I was using. I had a small issue receiving on the far corner of the house but after I moved the antennas on the router it now works there also. This router really works. Pushes out a wonderful signal and solved my issues. We routinely have seven or eight internet downloads running simultaneously without issue. Awesome machine.

Got this to replace my aging Netgear R7000. Neither band range on this router was better than my R7000. Additionally, having to pull down an app to configure the router is ridiculous. Who would rather use an app on your phone screen than a browser-based GUI? Stupid. Not to mention that the web GUI is much more robust. Additionally, I had to try to do a factory reset several times to get it to work so I could return it. Save your money. This thing is garbage. Went with an Asus AC3100 and got infinitely better results.

Working in the business for over 20 years and this was one of the biggest let downs. I read the reviews of previous owners and I have to say when you get a lemon its hard to make lemonaid with this device. 1st one was an out of box failure (WAN interface didn't work), Replacement was not much better. Devices would connect and disconnect every 15-30 mins. Netgear used to have quality equipment for homes.... I'm just not seeing that anymore.
