    Hard to Install

The installation instruction were minimal and customer support phone number was on the black box (hard to read)and not on inside box instruction (had to search web for phone).....they were not capable of helping me, wanted to sell me security protection. Huge waste of time!!! Next day purchased a Linksys instead - easy to install.

Netgear Router - Promise & Trust broken

When power is lost, this router is reset to factory default settings. All SSID custom configurations are lost. Before buying any NETGEAR Router product, please verify this brand has many flaws.

    Total and complete junk

Total and complete junk! Bought this to replace a much older Netgear router as I wanted increased range. Well, this thing has worse range than my 10 year router! Standing directly in front of the Nighthawk my devices can't connect as they are out of range.

      Hi floodvictim,

Wireless routers, access points, and adapters send and receive radio wave signals through antennas. To optimize your wireless range, we suggest checking this resource: https://kb.netgear.com/1114/Improving-wireless-range-Overview

This router is crap ethernet connection bottlenecks at 400 when i have gig service. Calls to customer service want 90 bucks to troubleshoot. After a factory replacement problem is the same. Too much trouble for something so expensive.

After 1 year my ISP said my internet speed was at 114mps and this router was the issues. After calling them they wanted me to spent 150.00 on buying a warranty for this product so they would fix it. Will never but this company again.

    Disappointed!!!

This thing lasted about 2 years...then it completely died. Something happened with the power as the plug works, the chord works, but the unit doesn’t. If I were a tech guy, I’m sure it’s an easy fix...which means it’s probably a problem that should have never happened.

Great WiFi, Poor quality. Died in less than 2yrs

Great router when it worked, but lasted barely 2 years before dying. Lights started flashing one day and then faded and died, would not recommend for the price given how short it's lifespan is.

speedtest stays at 500mps when having gig speeds

Don't waste your money on this product. If you have Gig internet speeds, it does not matter. Speedtest shows 500mps or lower everytime. Best Buy will not help you and Netgear will charge with no resolution.

The product worked great. Purchased November of 2019. The warranty expired 2 mo. Ago and it died today. $250 for 14 months of use. That’s outrageous.
