Overall, this has been a good purchase and I would purchase it again. The hardware has been been reliable and offered great coverage throughout my home. With that said, if feel as though it is lacking for a router at this price point, especially the UI. The plus is that it does support DD-WRT which does give provide more advanced features and more granular controls. One of the gotchas that experienced is with the guest network. The Roku's ping the router interface to determine connectivity to the network. Unfortunately, the Netgear does not respond to ping from the guest network so I had to disable ping on the Roku to get it to work. This change has lead to other issues with the Roku so that I have to reconnect to the wireless network after it has gone to sleep for an extended period.

If you have a lot of devices like I do then you need this router; but being it is pricey at almost 300 dollars; if you don't have a lot of devices needing wi fi then maybe it would not be for you. It works great so far and I am impressed as I have well over a dozen wif fi devices with an average of 8 pr more using it 24/7.

This performs exceptionally once set up. Insane range; especially if your internet connection is high speed (like 1Ghz). Would definitely recommend.

I purchased the router for our home, it has a great range where I can go around the perimeter of my one acre property and still get almost full strength. Setting up the router is seamless with good detailed menus.

Lightning fast compared to my old router which handled 15 devices on one bandwidth! Being able to give my son his own bandwidth just for gaming, another bandwidth for all cell phones and still another bandwidth just for computers plus a separate guest bandwidth made this the ideal purchase.! Because it’s so fast everybody stopped complaining about download speeds. And with six antennas I can see why they call it the Night Hawk! Well worth the money! But really, not that expensive compared to what it does for so many different applications.

The router signal is great. I now get a dedicated signal for my work and personal and use the other signals for visitors etc. The reach is much better than the standard Comcast router. I would recommend this if you have over 2000 sq ft in your home.

Had a little bit of a hard time setting this up the first time because the wizard for connecting to the router is a bit confusing. I had to do reconnect and refresh of the page a few times to get it rolling. After the setup, everything went well. Network speeds and performance are really good.

Must have for a home network!

When I was putting my home network together, my number one priority was WiFi coverage and quality. After having a long history of poor connectivity due to sub par devices, I was originally going to purchase an Enterprise grade AP to install in the house...but the $1,100 price tag was a no go. Enter the X6. At a price much more in my reach, I figured it was worth a shot. I have this installed inside of a closet, upstairs in my house (roughly 2700 sq ft) and I have perfect coverage everywhere in my house and even outside. The dual band aspect is nice as well since I have devices on both 2.4 and 5 Ghz networks, plus with the built in QoS I don't have any problems with traffic to all of my connected devices. (3 Nest thermostats, 2 laptops, 2 cell phones, 2 Nest Protects, Washer, and Dryer) I have the 300 Mb service from Cox and over the 5G network, I can easily achieve 170Mbps on my phone downstairs.
