Needed a fast wireless Wi-Fi router. The Nighthawk does well for the most part but there are sporadic times when it runs slower. I do have a lot of Wi-Fi electronics and it seems to run them all well. Reaches throughout the house well except it is a bit slower in the far back bathroom. Might be a little pricey for most.

This is the most powerful router I've ever owned! I would get only 40% signal strength on my PS4 using my old Belkin. Now, I'm rocking a solid 80% with zero lag!! Awesome!

One of the best buy guys recommended this to resolve issues with a "connected" home (with Wink). I have lots of connected household devices, and this allowed me to dedicate a network to those devices, without having to sacrifice my own PC/browsing.

Easy setup. Outstanding range. Great upgrade from a Netgear dual band router. A little pricey but well worth the investment for full home coverage with multiple devices.

This has help out household full of gamers, our internet provider router couldn’t handle our demand. We also no longer have dead spots in our hose anymore. The dual 5ghz band is ideal, for the gamers and high demand electronics. the third band 2.5ghz is great for older electronics. I haven’t utilized the USB port in the back. Set up took awhile since we connected it to our extracting router and disabled our internet providers built in Wifi. It’s been a few months since purchase. It hasn’t failed us. Highly recommended it!!

I was looking to replace a failing router, (Ethernet ports dropping out). Had been looking at both Linksys and Netgear routers, and choose the Netgear Nighthawk X6 because I thought it was the better router. Was not disappointed.

The router itself is fairly simple to set up with the mobile app, and has great coverage and connection. However my personal unit failed after 6 months and was replaced with a different product. Through online searches, this particular router suffers from poor firmware that fairly frequently causes the product to brick, and be rendered unusable. If you plan to purchase this product, I would highly recommend a protection plan in case of failure, as it saved me from spending another $200.

This router replaced a router and a booster which together could not adequately provide service to our 3 story, 6000 square foot home. Now all of our home and the outside living areas have wireless access. I am very pleased.

I like the speed it provides for all my gadgets and that you can limit how long or who uses the internet BUT just as important to me is that it can test what my internet speed is coming in. We paid for high speed internet and noticed right away by testing it that we were not getting high speed so I called the internet provider and they said whoever upgraded the speed did it incorrectly but my son has the same type of router and they gave him the same excuse, so this is a great feature that assures me that we’re getting the speed for what we are paying for.

Easy setup. I love the QoS options since I'm a gamer. I no longer get NAT issues on the Xbox or PS4. No longer have any dead spots in my whole yard. Only issue is that it is very expensive.
