Portable computer for the internet works better further from the router. Before could not connect one floor up from router location in the basement.

I purchased this as a router and wireless access point for work. I work in a building with thick concrete soundproof walls and I do quite a lot of transferring large file across the network on a daily basis and the AC transfer speed and increased wireless range has been a big help.

This is an awesome router. Replaced several existing routers in my home. It provides complete coverage and the speed is fast. I do not have any bandwidth problems now.

this thing is massive but was easy to set up and get running which is a must in our household. No issues with drops but still need to fine tune settings for directional wifi.

With 7 people in our family, we were having issues connecting too many devices to our old Wi-Fi Router. We decided to go all out and purchase the Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router. We can now have 7 cell phones, multiple computers, tablets, TVs, and Chromecasts, without a problem.

The Nighthawk was very easy to set up across devices and does a great job of maintaining a signal across a very long house. A little pricey, but worth it without needing a repeater.

This home router uses 802.11ac which is amazingly fast. Beam forming technology focuses the WiFi signals so you receive a stronger RSSI wherever you are in the house.

It's expensive but well worth it. I have 2 story 2100 square foot home. This router covers my entire home and can reach my detached garage. Its extremely easy to setup.

This router is everything I need and more.... I replaced my Nighthawk R7000 with this router because my R7000 was throttling due to all of those devices pulling from both bands. The R8000 has 2 5ghz bands to split up the usage of that band. Great for gaming, great for downloading, great for streaming.... It pretty much puts out whatever the max your internet/modem is sending. Great software also... Great router and worth the money!

I get a signal much, much farther away from my house than either of my old routers or even my extender. The speeds are good and the range is terrific.

Beast of a machine. Set up was east. Because of system components does start up slowly but once up and running has the needed performance for the extreme network.

Comcast modem is a fraction of the speed this router achieves. Grab a cheap modem and this sucker and you will have great coverage and blazing internet speeds.

I have 200 Mbps internet and with my old wifi router I was only getting about 25-50 Mbps. Now with the Nighthawk X6 I'm getting all 200 Mbps and it was easy to set up.

I don't see a big difference in the range capability between this unit and the Linksys N600 it's replacing, just a big difference in price. It does transmit a wireless signal though.

We have been considering upgrading our modem for awhile, and we finally bit the bullet. After some extensive research both online and inquiring with friends/family, we came down to this purchase. We now have a much better coverage, we can even connect out to our mailbox, as we live on a bit of an acre. Our speeds, when tested on several upload/download speed sites, is even faster than what our service provider gives us. So we are very happy with this purchase, our system is certainly tightly password secured and would certainly recommend this to anyone, needing/wanting to upgrade their modem.

Unit was easy to set up. It has many indicator lights that glow continuously. Mounted in equipment closet and at times think I have left the light on with glow coming from under door crack. Nice if you want a night light. No noticeable speed increase from phone company Windstream provided router.
