Good router but return do to have to buy $150 add-on for the repeater. Look at google wifi if you need more then one access point.

This is the LAST NETGEAR product I will ever purchase, or sign a purchase order for. This is the second one of this model purchased in less than a year, and after a while, BOTH failed in the same way. Netgear then holds you hostage and demands you purchase their paid support to attempt to get it going again. Both times, it was a forced automatic firmware upgrade that created the problem, and then they tell you "We know about the problem and can fix it, but you have to purchase the after warranty service to get it fixed" ...... I will not do business with a company that knowingly creates a problem with their equipment, then demands I pay them to fix the problem they created.

This product has an issue where you can not update the firmware. Looking at their community pages lots of customers are having this problem. The only remedy appears to be shipping the product back to netgear and waiting from them to return you a new or repaired device.

I have spent days trying to set this thing up - I give up! I have 1gb speed from Xfinity yet when I plug directly to my modem I get very high readings (959mbs) but on wireless I get no more than 280mbs and I am only 12 inches away from router. I tried EVERYTHING. I give up!

I have been using Netgear routers for over a decade and had great expectations from this one as well, but it failed miserably in keeping our devices connected without rebooting the router on a DAILY basis. Not something I expected from Netgear?

I have had this router for a week and had to reboot it numerous times already. If this was cheap I could maybe live with it more but for the price it is not worth it. It seems to do well when it does work.

This has been the most inconsistent piece of garbage I've ever purchased. It drops signal all the time. Have to physically reboot at least once every day if not twice. Support say to upgrade the firmware but the current version doesn't allow upgrading.

for some reason, why my home setup which includes POE switches and about 5 other switches, it kept glitching and not working properly having to reset it daily. I ended up returning it for an ASUS which works fine without a hitch. The interface for Netgear is much better, but initial set up interface is horrendous. Which is funny because I'm upgrading from Netgear AC900 to this. The older netgear worked for 5 years without a hitch! Netgear needs to work out some glitchy bugs in their device before I can recommend.
