We have 4G fixed wireless up in the hills and the wifi signal was really spotty using AT&Ts gateway. We had to use extenders before and signal was still not great throughout the house. This eliminated the need for extenders and has multiple channels of 5G so there is plenty of bandwidth for multiple devices

Standing at the rows of wireless routers, I talked to a Best Buy worker and called my son-in-law who works in the industry. The advice I got...get more than you need. The price was discounted on this unit so I bought it. It works great! Added confirmation, our cable guy commented on it, stating it is the best!

Lightning fast speed. I live in a rural area, and this router did not disappoint!

I returned this product as I was told my Frontier provided WiFi router was slower than the AC4000. Data transfer from network server to workstations improves but actual internet speed tests run by Speedtest.net were no faster between the AC4000 and my provider”s device. Internet speed and throughput is controlled by your provider. If you’re paying for 30/30 make sure that’s what your getting. Run an internet speed test to verify you’re getting what you’re being charged. If not happy call your provider like I did to get the speed that you’re paying for. Buying a faster modem will allow your devices to communicate and share data faster but it won’t increase your internet speeds unless you can convince your wife to pay for the speeds that she wants.

Fast and smart router! I get fast speeds and the ability to control who is on the network using the nighthawk app and the ability to merge all three band into 1 network name. If you are debating walk into a Best Buy and ask to speak to connected home salesperson. They know what they’re doing. They were very helpful with me. I highly recommend a tri-band router nothing less!

I needed to get the Nighthawk Router for a stronger signal that would reach my detached garage and my entire 2500 sq ft house. Thankfully it is providing a strong enough signal for my car to download software updates and I have not had any problem with it delivering a strong signal throughout my house. I can't speak to the ease of use - the cable technician set it up for me.

The range of this router is incredible!! It covers the entire house and anywhere outside (3/4 acre lot). If you need a router to cover everything from inside and outside you house ..... this is the one.

I originally purchased a different brand router, but it wasn't compatible with my TP-Link smart plugs. I exchanged that one and came back to Netgear because I already knew they worked well together. This router is very fast and also includes the Circle app to help manage my family's internet usage. I love this router and would definitely buy it again!

We had another Netgear dual band router that would occasionally drop the WiFi connection. This became worse when our new microwave was running, disconnecting the PlayStation 4. We purchased this new router and, knock on wood, seemed to have solved the issue. It has three bands so we reserve the compatible one for the PlayStation, the third for our SmartTV and the middle one for the rest.

It’s simple to set up and use and it sends a strong signal.
