Great quality router!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want a good quality router- this one is great! I got it to replace our Cable provider router... which was replaced numerous times for not doing the job. Not with our new Nighthawk router. This one does a great job and we have a two story house- which was one of the problems we had.

Strong wifi signal , fast and reliable connection
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very strong wifi signal , fast and reliable connection , cover the whole house plus front and backyard of about 5300 square feet total . only had the router for 2 months , the router is on 24/7 and it does not need to be reboot to fix the wifi connection issue like some other router did .

Great router with expanded coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router to get better coverage throughout my house and it does this extremely well. In rooms where I was only getting two bars at best I now get a full four bars. I wanted it most to use along with my Sonus wifi music system and it serves that purpose perfectly. No more dropouts.........

Pleased with this unit
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched from a DSL to a microwave ISP so replaced my R7000 DSL / modem / switch / wi-fi (probably about five years old) with the R8000 that has everything except the DSL modem, then switched the R7000 to bridge mode to run it as a slave wi-fi network off the R8000. Was a pretty easy upgrade and the whole set-up has now been running for a few weeks without problems. I recommend Netgear across the board. I bought a switch from one of the other major brands a few months ago - it went down repeatedly. The manufacturer replaced it and the second one was the same - clearly poor design. I replaced it with a Netgear and not a single failure. The R8000 has so far lived up to what I expect from Netgear products. The environment is not an easy one : remote location where all TV comes in via the net, two people working from home, over 20 devices on the net and around 5,500 sq ft house.

Awesome router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having all sorts of problems with my old belkin router. It didn’t even work well in an apartment. When I moved to into a large house it didn’t cut it. The router is a little overkill for 2200 sqft house, but I get perfect signal even in my backyard. Plus it looks really cool.

Great product for families with lots of streamers!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical about this product, but it turned out great! I have gamers in my household and I never hear them complaining about the internet lagging unlike previous routers we had. It's a great product to have especially if you have gamers ir streamers in your house.

Dismal Product Support
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was great...before it broke. Firmware update would not complete due to a known hardware issue (per their own troubleshooting page). This was purchased Aug 2020 so not even a year. My husband is an IT Professional and contacted customer service after exhausting every avenue on their own website. This is where the two stars come in. He knew exactly what was wrong and advised the initial CSR of all the actions performed and referenced their website. She did not understand and attempted to coerce him into buying a customer service plan before she would help him. Long story short, he spent 2 hours on the phone, was cold transferred several times, and bullied by different departments to buy a support plan before even helping when this was still under warranty! He finally just purchased it and was transferred to another department to "help". This CSR insisted that he had to use remote access to diagnose it, meanwhile, my husband had to guide him on how to do his job. Eventually, the CSR concurred with my husband's original diagnosis and proceeded to initiate an RMA. I can only imagine if a less tech savvy person needed assistance. Just take the possibility of having to contact customer service into consideration prior to buying.

Lighting
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to accompany my new modem and replace my rented equipment from the cable company. “Money Savings”. I have several items on my WiFi and it was running extremely slow. Right after I connected this router, the difference was dramatic. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Great range great speed
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this two years ago and it has been trouble free. The range on both bands reached all three floors of my home with no extenders needed and my patio area. The web and phone interface for managing it is very simple and has all the features I need.

Great upgrade choice router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our home is 1600 sq ft and with this recent upgrade from a small 10 year old rounter, this one gives us instant, fast internet service. Amazing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a router that would cover my new house with zero drops. It being a tri band also allows me to have dedicated channels for certain devices which is nice and the Nighhawk app is nice to have. Easy to manage and see every device that is connected

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router was a nice upgrade from my previous setup as it couldn’t handle the amount of devices connecting to it at any given moment.. this router was great for delivering reliable speeds and took care of the network congestion for me!

Great router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have 6 people living in our house with 3 active gamers as well as 2 fire sticks and 5 cell phones and had a lot of lagging with the router provided by our internet provider since adding this router we split the bands to separate different uses and have had little to no lagging.

Great Router!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, so good. I would rather a mesh system, but needed the extra lan cable ports, which the mesh systems come with 2 at most (a few come with more than 2, but have low customer satisfaction ratings). The signal is definitely stronger in my house.
