From taking it out of the box, to setting it up. Extremely easy to use. Pairs easy with nighthawk app. Extremely easy to change settings and broadcasting different WiFi signals. If you have the money, it is worth the cost!!

We have internet speeds up to 400mbs but when connected to the router the 5ghz option only puts out under a 100mbs. I'm not sure why that is but that was kinda of a let down. We do have great range throughout my house with the 2ghz so that's a plus.

Installation and setup was pretty straight forward, the app made the setup pretty easy. As soon as it booted up, there was a update available and that was done at a push of a button... Nice!! I have used this for about a month now and all seems to be good.

I replaced a dying Netgear 1900 with this model. I know it’s made for a large home. Mine is small and I hoped it would give me great WiFi coverage in my small home. Unfortunately, it couldn’t give me the zoom coverage I needed and I turned off the WiFi and used a mesh network in its place. I think this hybrid approach worked best for me. Especially, when I have multiple zoom sessions going at the same time. But the router hasn’t missed a beat for my wired connections. Other than the WiFi shortcomings, I wasn’t thrilled with the issues I experienced trying to do a manual setup. I finally gave in and did the automated setup and tweeted it later.

I noticed a difference in wi-fi speed and connectivity.. Wi-fi devices, cell phones all connected no problem, maintained almost constant connection speed. 11 devices and cctv all work flawlessly. Setup is a breeze, Netgear Gennie app is plug and play.

This is a great router for general home use. Has good signal throughout the home, allows multiple devices to connect seamlessly and can be hidden out of sight easily. Overall a great router for home use.

We had a router Suddenlink gave us for setup and it kept dropping signal and lagging very bad. Was really a problem with everyone needing to work from home so go this. Haven't had a problem with dropping signal since we switch to this router.

This router handles many devices including multiple streaming devices. The range is not quite what I thought but it still gets the job done using an existing Netgear mesh router with it.

So far so good. I have been looking at upgrading my router for awhile. I hate the routers provided by my ISP, and this thing is a beast. Good price, easy to set up, easy to make changes, its a good piece of equipment.

I needed a router that I could connect more than 5 things and not slow down to a crawl, and this one is it! I have 3 TVs, 2 game systems, 3 phones, 3 iPads, 1 home computer all connected and haven’t lost a step. We can watch Netflix, run a game system and bounce around the internet and everything is good. It also runs a scan on stuff when you first connect or turn back on after a while to see if it is clean of virus and icky stuff...that’s a bonus to me!!! I don’t have kids but there is parental control, so it must be pretty good cuz the rest of this router is....just wish it wasn’t so high priced....but so far it is worth it.

Prior to buying this, I was paying a monthly fee for a modem and router from the cable company. This has been a life saver with homework while my kids are on their video games. Every now and then I have to turn it off and back on the get connection but not sure why.

Purchased the Netgear Nighthawk to help make my wireless internet in my home better. You can now get a good signal throughout my home. It is nice to be able to control access to my network and love the security it adds.

Setup is quick and easy. Speeds are great. The 2 stars is the direct result of having to reboot this every other day which is unacceptable for a router of this cost. The nighthawk app is decent when it can connect but the settings ability are lacking. I would love to be able to recommend this but rebooting it constantly kills that very, very quickly. I have the latest firmware at 1.4.0.10

Simple replacement for Verizon FIOS Gateway Router

The Nighthawk X6S replaced a weak Verizon FIOS Gateway router (G1100). It was so simple to install for this senior, non-tech woman; it took less than an 30 minutes including restarting ONT and installing app in iOS phone. I did not want to use the old router as a bridge, and the Nighthawk seamlessly replaced the old Verizon FIOS router. The signal strength is now superb and the weak/dead spots in the home are gone. The App reorganized all the devices and determined fastest wifi band in the home with "Smart Connect". I'm sure there are other more technical benefits, but I am very happy even with just these gains. BestBuy's price was better than Amazon and other sellers, too. Great device, great price, happy customer.

My last router was the WH103 and I must Netgear is such a better product. I will that Netgear tech support is one of the worse. they hung up on me twice. I got the router working on my own and it lives up to the specks.
