I had a Nighthawk R7000 since 2016 that I've been using without issues for some time. However, now that my internet speeds are higher, I needed something beefier to offer faster speeds to my devices. Unfortunately, despite mounting this router in the same exact location, I have very bad dead spots throughout my home that my old router was providing adequate WiFi service to. My TV often needs to buffer, laptops on WiFi are getting about 50mbps down with this router instead of 220mbps down from my old router. Considering the price point, features and the sheer number of antennas on this thing, I assumed it would perform better than the device it replaced. Not worth the price. I have a two story, 3,200 sq ft home. 2nd Floor often sees disconnects, and my daughters room is a dead spot now. Will be returning to go with a different solution.

Router is amazing and has amazing speed. I would highly recommend this to anyone Needing a good router for their home.

Didn’t use it since I didn’t need it but I tested out a sample and it was great.

I have no complaints for this router. But Netgear has so many router offerings, I can't help but wonder about the ones I decided not to buy. I'm sure they're all great, but sometimes too many options just get frustrating. I'm having a FOMO moment, is all. I covers my entire 2300 square foot home easily - INCLUDING the wifi sprinkler controller out in the farthest corner of the garage. Nice app and custom setting capabilities, per-user controls, per-device controls, parental controls, etc.

Made the mistake of buying a cheaper router around 100. This router covers our entire house without problems. Great interactive software as well.

Easy set up.....works great! The slower network works outside. The faster networks are faster than our previous router.

After I installed my new CM1000 NETGEAR Ultra-High Speed Cable Modem (DOCSIS 3.1), I installed my new NETGEAR Nighthawk X6S - AC4000 Tri-Band WiFi Router - Model #: R8000P. My family has approximately 20 devices at home. The kids have approximately 10 devices with their games, phones and so on but they never turn them off. My wife and I have the other 10 devices but we do turn them off. None of the devices sit clocking any more. The DOWNLOAD speed has doubled. I have better device control with the NIGHTHAWK App.

The up-to-date and newer style interface and functionality make this router a must have. The ease of set up and operation make it a boon.

Great wireless router! Really too much coverage for a 1500 sq/ft apartment, but when secured, there is no problems!

Good product, kids are no longer complaining when they are playing video games, can have many devices hooked up and runs fast!
