    Never again will I buy Netgear. This is my second NightHawk R8000. The first one I bought lasted for about 4 or 5 years, but this one...1 year and like 4 months. The wifi worked fine and was pretty fast, however, the LAN ports started being buggy. I would get disconnected, Webpages had to be reloaded like 3 or 4 times to get it to go through. I checked firmware updates, factory reset, reset setting back to default. For spending close to $300 for a gaming router, the life expectancy should be much better. Also, the NightHawk app is terrible and not user friendly at all.

    Great router. No issues with updates. Great performance. Remote management available with a smart phone. Optional Armor protection from BitDefender. WiFi performance is very good. A legacy 2.4 GHrtz band and two 5 GHrtz bands. LAN performance is solid. Very good QOS implementation. No issues gaming or streaming.
