Consider your provider, or specifically, your ability to circumvent any restrictions your provider may have in place prior to purchase.

Good traffic management...

This router seemed to handle multiple device traffic well. Barely noticeable over the R7000, though.

My New Router

After a little research and talking with the IT folks, I decided to purchase the Netgear Nighthawk X6S. The setup worked great and I was back in business in no time at all. The pick up service at Best Buy did it job and I was there & gone in a short time

No issues in configuring the unit from the default settings. The only problem is the unit will not do automatic updates which is configured to do so, you will need to vist the website and download the latest firmware and upload it to the unit.

HAPPY!!! Upgraded our older NETGEAR Nighthawk.

Works seamlessly Great. Multiple speeds and availability of "guest" account to allow limited access to our network. Extremely happy with our new NETGEAR Nighthawk X6s Router!

Great WiFi Router

The AC4000 with tri-band and six antennas provides much better wifi coverage throughout the house. The throughput in much better and no devices are dropping connection. Don't go small on wifi upgrades. Go big and future proof your investment
