I have had this router for about a month now and I can say it's the first router that has been able to keep up with my Xfinity 400Mb connection. I have been getting testing speeds of over 500 during the day when no one is at my complex. It has reset to default setting 2 weeks ago but haven't had any issues since.

Bought this to handle 19 devices in which several stream movies and a hard wired PS4. I had occasional lag with last router and figured this one would be able to easily handle the load. Since purchase 5 weeks ago I have called Netgear several times and have at least 6 help tickets. Every single day after everyone gets home my playstation is unplayable with lag. And it's hard wired. Plug ethernet straight to PS4 and no lag. For some reason this router kills my signal. Maybe if I can warranty this unit out and a new one is better I'll do another review. Right now my verdict is doo doo.

Great WiFi Router that replaced old AC1750 unit. The AC4000 with tri-band and six antennas provides much better wifi coverage throughout the house. The throughput in much better and no devices are dropping connection. Don't go small on wifi upgrades. Go big and future proof your investment

I purchased this to replace a Linxys I also got and didn’t care for. Although it was a big step up from an extender, it still drops WiFi when the kids are online gaming. Their PS4 is no more than 25ft from the unit. Let’s say it works fine most of the time

This was a nice improvement over my previous nighthawk.

This is one of the ultimate routers. I normally upgrade every 3 years due to adding more devices and this thing is awesome. Right now i run 4 smart tv's, 5 smart phones, 4 laptops, 3 tablets, 12 cameras, 6 Amazon Alexis devices and some other things. Again this router handles all that.

This router would have been great.... if it worked. At first it was great, aside from having to disable its "Smart Connect" feature because one of our older PC's that can only do 2.4GHz just would not stay connected unless that feature was disabled and all 3 networks operated independently on different ID's. That wasn't a big deal...so moving on... It lasted about a week, then we started having disconnect issues. Every 1-3 days it would just drop connection, the WiFi SSID's were broadcasting, but signal was weaker than normal and you couldn't actually connect to it, and using a wired connection would do nothing either. Couldn't even log into it, even though on the router itself, all the lights were on and white. Resetting it would fix it. Temporarily. After working with Netgear support and updating firmware a couple times, one of which was an unreleased Beta firmware they offered me a chance to test out for them, the issue persisted pretty much the same. This went on for several weeks. Then a third firmware update and... ...It went a full week without any issues. Problem solved! Or so we thought. Now it just doesn't disconnect, it goes into full reboot cycles. One which lasted about 3 hours before it quit. Unplugged, reset, scolded it... nothing worked. Then it settled after a few hours and worked again. Now a day later, all lights are out and the power light is amber. Nothing's working, power cycling, unplugging, scolding, offering it cookies and milk... it's dead now. And I'm out $250 I spent on it because it's just past the return policy because I spent weeks trying to work with their support to get it fixed. I'm contacting support again, they say they'll get back to me in about 3 hours. Okay... I'm already done. That's 3 MORE hours added on to the many from the past several weeks I can't game or watch Hulu because I have no WiFi. Thanks, Netgear & Best Buy. Sincerely, A Very Dissatisfied Customer

Decided to upgrade our home router because of...you know, all this...to make working from home a bit easier. This thing has handled everything we've thrown at it with basically no issues other than a dropped signal once in a while. Very happy with it. And it looks like a spaceship.
