This router would have been great.... if it worked. At first it was great, aside from having to disable its "Smart Connect" feature because one of our older PC's that can only do 2.4GHz just would not stay connected unless that feature was disabled and all 3 networks operated independently on different ID's. That wasn't a big deal...so moving on... It lasted about a week, then we started having disconnect issues. Every 1-3 days it would just drop connection, the WiFi SSID's were broadcasting, but signal was weaker than normal and you couldn't actually connect to it, and using a wired connection would do nothing either. Couldn't even log into it, even though on the router itself, all the lights were on and white. Resetting it would fix it. Temporarily. After working with Netgear support and updating firmware a couple times, one of which was an unreleased Beta firmware they offered me a chance to test out for them, the issue persisted pretty much the same. This went on for several weeks. Then a third firmware update and... ...It went a full week without any issues. Problem solved! Or so we thought. Now it just doesn't disconnect, it goes into full reboot cycles. One which lasted about 3 hours before it quit. Unplugged, reset, scolded it... nothing worked. Then it settled after a few hours and worked again. Now a day later, all lights are out and the power light is amber. Nothing's working, power cycling, unplugging, scolding, offering it cookies and milk... it's dead now. And I'm out $250 I spent on it because it's just past the return policy because I spent weeks trying to work with their support to get it fixed. I'm contacting support again, they say they'll get back to me in about 3 hours. Okay... I'm already done. That's 3 MORE hours added on to the many from the past several weeks I can't game or watch Hulu because I have no WiFi. Thanks, Netgear & Best Buy. Sincerely, A Very Dissatisfied Customer

works great has increased internet throughout my house

I returned an ASUS because its 2.4G signal drops so often and replaced it with Netgear. This Nighthawk is a lot stable. Though there are no options for scheduled restart and bandwidth limiter on its app.

This product has exceeded all my expectations for what a quality router should do. Very strong bandwidth that reaches throughout our home with virtually no signal degradation. It handles all of our multiple streaming, gaming and work loads simultaneously. I highly recommend this one.

Really a great product. like the quality and speed

Great configurations, port forwarding and gaming options for tinkering, guest features and Qos services available; as an adult i demand proper wifi and this delivers i would put kids on one channel and adults get another and peripherals would jump on the 2.4 signal; lots of way to configure... will contonue to buy

This router works great and reaches out throughout our house.

This is our second Nighthawk and it's been one of the best routers we have ever owned - that's why we purchased the second. Our first one we started having to reboot every few days, that's why we chose to replace after about 3 years. We have over 25 devices on our wifi and it works great!

Boosted my really crapy internet service by 20 megs.

Unfortunately did not solve our particular wifi problems. Hoped it would give us improved and more consistent connection and speed on other floors of house, but sadly, did not.

Work very well much better than what we had before

This help me save monthly and my who family benefit from it.

This router was to replace the same model that was a couple years old and got fried in a thunderstorm (yes, it was in a surge suppressor -- no, it wasn't saved). Installation was easy and seamless, took about 10 minutes without a single hiccup. Another great "set it and forget it" router.
