    Netgear makes terrible routers, but very good modems. This particular router lost the 2nd 5GHZ band after a month, the connection absolutely dropped from 300Mbps to about 0.6Mbps, had to switch everything over to the main 5GHZ band. Unfortunately, with all the antennas the signal was atrocious, I'm in an apartment, two rooms away from the router and you've lost half the signal and the speed compared to dial-up. I switched to Google Mesh and I've been greatly surprised by how thorough the signal is and speeds carry through every room. If you're looking for an expensive paperweight router that only gives you decent speed directly connected then this is for you. If you're looking for a router to actually give you Wi-Fi that's half decent.. Then stay away from all versions of the Nighthawk as they all have the same problems.
