Nighthawk X6S fail

The firmware would not update, even after being on Netgear support for two hours straight. Then I found that the WiFi dropped after about 4 days and the unit needed to do a power off reset to resolve it. One more problem is that the remote administration does not work. Netgear support was no help at all. Additionally, they would not even replace the unit.

Since we have a lot of people on wifi we bought this in hopes to help with the speed. It has 3 different zones. To be honest I cannot tell a difference

That could be due to having too much on one channel or my provider but I don't think it's the provider. Was pretty easy to set up. Needed a longer Ethernet cord. It seemed pretty expensive but I got it on sale.

Complete fail after 2 weeks

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked well for 2 weeks then noticed the SSID name was at the default not what I had set but still worked. A few days later no Internet. Checked and all settings at factory default and will not connect to the modem. Tried to reconfig but still no connection to modem. Wifi outgoing working. Netgear support no help. I connected my old router back up and it worked right away. Old router was also a netgear that had failed 5G channel after 1.5 years . Time to try a different brand. Fortunate that it failed in time for me to return to Best Buy for a full refund.

Parental control ia not good

The want you to buy add on hardware and software for a subscription. I want comprehensive parental control out of the box having to pay a subscription is ridiculous
