This router is great for a home with multiple wireless devices. We have a minimum of 10 wireless devices operating at most times, and this router easily handles all of them. Our previous router kept dropping the connection when we added two wireless security cameras to the mix. We haven't had any problems with this router.

This router has a strong signal throughout my whole house. Previous routers I've used would lag a lot if i was upstairs but this one is even further and works perfectly.

I've using old Netgear N Router for many years. The internet was slowing down and Netflix movies were streaming very slow with N Router. I finally decided to purchase this router and I am very happy with it. It's super fast and very reliable. I don't why I had to wait all these years to purchase AC Router. If your internet is slow and a lot of people are streaming internet, this router is for you!!!

Bought to replace the R6300 and a repeater for more coverage. No longer need the repeater to cover the whole house. Am currently using it with AT&T fiber and running 866mbps wired and 245mbps wireless. Works with Comcast cable and AT&T fiber with no problem, as long as you bridge (turn off their WiFi signal) the WiFi.

I have 2 Google connections, 1 Alexa connection, 2 phones, 2 computers and more. Also using an extender though in a small house. The range isn't quite what I expected but no dropped connections. Very expensive....support will not help without paying them after about 30 days. Most people may not need the 802.11 ac and might want to wait now for the 802.11 ax.

I upgraded from an older Netgear Router. I currently connect around 8 wireless devices and a few hard wired devices to this router and the speed is amazing. Also the coverage is much farther then our old router. I was only getting 20 mbps on my wifi before, now I'm getting the full 70 mbps that my cable company offers, even with all the devices connected at once. I would highly recommend.

It works great even on our very gaming vpn intensive house. Both me and my husband work from home and it handles both our vans and my kids gaming like a charm.

Although, very pricey, I would buy this router again if I had to. I have a strong wireless signal in every room of my 5400 sq. ft. house...even in the garage!

I hesitated to spend $350+ but after reading reviews, I was sold. The Ease of setup was about what I expected from Netgear, but with all the hype behind 802.11ac, I was just hoping for average improvement over our old 11n router. The X8 however, far surpassed my expectations. I have an office on the 2nd floor of our house (~2000 SF), at the front wall, and I get great coverage and speed on the back deck. That is based on downloading/uploading files from our storage device in the office, as well as streaming videos across our LAN. You get what you pay for sometimes.

I was having trouble with my old router not being able to handle multiple devices and coverage issues in a large house. This router solved all the problems, and now we have no problems with 3 computers, multiple smart tvs, 5 smartphones, and other devices. Coverage is great and haven't had to restart router at all which I had to do all the time with the old router.
