The X8 AC8500 has if not doubled my speed in some cases it has almost tripled it. I have just over 5000 sq ft on 2 stories and the router is on the second floor, and there is not a dead spot anyplace in the whole house. Even the cable tech, could not believe the speed. I just love it...

We had lots of dead spots in the house. No more!! We have a house full of wifi users...5 smartphones, PS4, wifi radio, 5 IPads, etc. this router handles all of it and automatically switches to the fastest band. Expensive...yes but it stopped the gamers from complaining. You decide.

This is hands down the best router I have used so far. The Netgear Nighthawk has the farthest range and can handle more applications than any I've used to date. This router is also easy to set up as a wired access point for those applications that require more WIFI range.

I have an oddly constructed duplex and had a hard time getting wifi with an Ac apple airport extreme which is an excellent router. SO I upgraded to this and have not been disappointed. It can be customized to give certain devices higher priority if you like and I can get wifi from a block away now. It is $400 but you always get what you pay for.

Decided to cut the cords with cable providers and purchase my own router. Best decision I made! Might cost $400 outright off the bat, but if you pay ten dollars a month to a cable provider you're just giving money away. You pay that money and after a year you could've purchased that vey same router you "leased" from them. Buy your own router

Having had problems with earlier routers on reliability and coverage, this one has been the answer to what we need. We have large space (over 7000 sq ft) and it provides good coverage and connections/speed are much more reliable than with previous linksys router/repeaters.

The Nighthawk X8 is the best router I have ever used. My speeds more than tripled once installing this router along with the Netgear CM600 modem. I would recommend this router to everyone. Also, setting up and utilizing the Netgear readyCloud was very easy and great to use!

Bought this router to replace Apple wifi. My old system required a base and several range extenders to cover our 4,300sf home. The Nighthawk X8 covers the entire home without needing any extenders. It's powerful and fast. It's a little pricey but worth every penny.

This router has 3 bands so we have spread out our devices on different ones. We haven't had ant trouble with slow internet so far! I'm happy with this router, I hope it will last for a long time, we've had it for 2 months now. Only negative is that it was a little pricey.

My house is 1950's vintage and WiFi has a huge problem with distance past 20 feet without using multiple extenders. This unit has more power that the less expensive Netgear routers. The coverage and speed work well. Down to one extender for the devices in the backyard.

It's expensive, I get it. But it's also the easiest router I've ever set up. I max out every OOKLA speed test I run, regardless of where I am, and its a large house. Both of my boys play PS4, and we've never had a faster connect speed and no-lag gaming experience.

After listening to my family whine about a lack of WiFi in certain areas of our home and trying various extenders, I invested in the Nighthawk. Success and Speed. Setup required a phone call to Netgear Tech support for Comcast connection but they were quick to help.
